In the same boat. Moved our youngest in 2 weeks ago. We have been married 28-1/2 years and 28 years we had kids in the house.
It was a tough couple of days at first, and we miss her. However. We bought an RV and are going to start traveling a little being my work is some what remote.

Our caboose moved out a few years ago, but has been back with us the last year and a half.
Her clinicals were in NOLA, and we have a spare garage apartment, so it’s more of a hybrid situation.
She has 1 semester left and then all 3 will be living independently and self-supporting.

I got a feeling that the first time i come home from offshore in six years and my youngest isn't there to tend to, we are gonna go berserk. What do you do when you can do anything you want?

Room looks ridiculous. Just like that designer LSU mom thread.
I had a boy and a girl.
Moved them to college.
Guy: made the bed. Hung up clothes and put clothes on drawers. Unpacked some kitchen items. Done.
Girl: took much longer.

Has anyone outside of specialized jobs such as medical or engineering been asked to provide a copy of their degree/transcript? I’ve never been asked.
Granted, I graduated college 14 years ago and I’ve only worked for two companies in my career. But both are Fortune 500 companies and have never asked. Makes me feel like I wasted a lot of time and money. College is mostly a scam anyway.

Depends on the job. My job asked for my degree and grad degree

I understand your desires as mine correspond directly, however, we are still storing a bedroom packed full of "stuff" that belonged to our three daughters and two of them are retired already,

Checking your id at the desk and leaving a shoe in the door only on specific days.
That’s if you follow the rules.

you're projecting. Just go outside to moncus park or outside in Lafayette and see reality. Porn has fried your brain.

Lucky dog. Except for the getting old part. That's what always bothers me about looking forward to retirement, the getting old part. I think i'd rather live in the moment.

I guess I’m a little different as I am extremely happy to be an empty nester for 2 reasons:
1. I raised my kids correctly by not being dependent on us.
2. I love my kids and things like cooking dinner on Sunday’s, vacations, etc but I also love they don’t live at home any longer.

Congrats, Baw.
I was surprised when I moved mine in how tiny the dorm room was. It was a touch bigger than my smallest bathroom. Mine went to UF. We had heard that the Lakeside dorms were some of the nicest. Reality was not similar to rumor. 4 concrete block jail cell sized rooms with a common den/kitchen and 2 bathrooms. It was like dropping her of in the old Soviet union.
