Downs seems like a generational safety talent. You go draft a ball hawk like him and you’ll get your bang for your buck with all of the INTs he’ll get. Draft him to be your QB of the defense then Shough runs the show on offense. Of course we need a lot of positions right now; I just think Downs is going to provide the highest immediate impact.

Probably not, but Lane wouldve gotten a transfer from a D2 school and turned them into a first rounder. Debust is showing all of us today that Lane is a superior coach.

I felt like saban was more of a mysterious hire cause i didnt know much about him at the time but was very excited after the reading the newspaper articles about him. That is the only hire i was as excited about as Kiffin. There’s nothing wasn’t any social media or online articles back then. We were scouring the newspaper everyday for new updates on the coaching search.
