I look forward to the day where I can sell or throw away 80% of the shite in my house, sell the house and find the smallest and cheapest possible cabin in the world to live in.

There are some things we will enjoy, like going on vacation while school is in. I'm still in my 40s so I guess that's one benefit to having kids fairly young.

After these years…I remember you saying eight years ago that when this happens you were going to move somewhere out of state?

It's weird man. The house feels kind of empty.

I was in your shoes last year. It definitely takes some getting used to but they are not far away.

I look at the crap around me and I'm not getting any younger and I doubt my kids are going to give a damn about my Battlestar Galactica spaceships.

I have to start shoveling this shite out the door too. Why do I have all this crap when it's probably going to the landfill when I die?

Put one of mine there too. Really enjoyed all the trips to the Ham.

Moved daughter into Samford yesterday. Room looks ridiculous. Just like that designer LSU mom thread.

I spent a lot of time in Vail during freshman year, the women’s freshman dorms. I can attest the rooms are nice

Looking to unload this couch. You want me to ship it?

ETA: lol. Congrats been a empty nester for about seven years now but I do keep a room open for return visits/stays for all three of my grown kids. They have returned a few times over the years but they are all good now.

She went to ULL so not terribly far away.

As an alum of ULM, thank you for not saying "UL"

The transition is going to be tough for you at the beginning, but it's not too early to start planning on what to do with the extra space.

I moved my daughter into Samford 8 years ago!
Remember it like it was yesterday. 2 1/ drive to Atlanta made weekend visits easy.

It goes by way too fast doesn't it? I was in a funk for a few months after our last moved out.

Only reason ppl go to Samford is the hope the HR lady reviewing resumes confuses it for Stanford

Congrats on her picking ULL over LSU. God bless LSU, but it is a complete shite hole now.
