It's an adjustment, to be sure.

Good luck to her (and you).

Id probably prefer my kids go to ULL or Tech over LSU at this point

Son at Tech (ME), daughter at ULL (Nursing/ NP).

There are trade offs to everything. But in the end, I believe the right choices were made.

As a proud 2X LSU Alum...

That is where my two kids that just moved are going. Well, the one going to Tech hasn't moved yet, but you get the point.

I have one more to go and she will no doubt be a full scholarship student somewhere, just not LSU if things do not change soon. I have three other close friends whose kids went to LSU last fall and they regretted it. Two have already transferred out despite good grades, etc.

It's weird man. The house feels kind of empty.

You and your wife can do it in any room in the house now any time the mood hits.

I raised two by myself. It was a huge hole when they left. But it passes.

Congrats man! Smart to take advantage of TOPS, get in, get a degree and secure a stable career without accumulating massive debt. Moving off to college first then you'll be paying for two wedding's my man

ever seen the campus?
I doubt it.

So many great places to eat and hike.

SoHo Social was where we went just about every visit. Their taco restaurant is cool as well.

Yep, house gets real quiet once that last one leaves. For us, after 25 years of having at least one in the house is has been a real shocker since May when baby Crow left the homestead.

Oldest went to Samford for grad school. Amazing campus. Tight knit family atmosphere. Strong focus on faith was a plus.

We're paying everything TOPS doesn't cover so she should graduate debt free.

On my way!

Maybe next year? We’ve done Easter at the Opryland Hotel (hate the current name ) and a CMA.

Ran into a guy moving his second into Samford at Starbucks the other week. All I can think about is how much that costs. Beautiful campus, lovely spot in Bham but man...

Yep. Know the feeling. Mine just went back after being home this summer. It’s great to have them home though.

I’d prefer my kids not to go to either college and go somewhere out of state.
