It doesn’t take a government for censorship to occur.

That’s censorship.

Those people can find other platforms. Like Alex Jones. He is banned for all the platforms, but you know what? If you want to listen to him he has a website, infowars.com.

He was still censored.

“All” didn’t have a platform, but those who did have been censored throughout the history of this country.

People are mad about people being censored. People have even said "its an attack on free speech".

I apologize for taking this post out of context. I was commenting as if someone is saying "this is an attack on our freedoms and free speech".

Yes.

These people are dumb. But no one has said this in this thread.

Censorship and free speech are not the same thing.

You were arguing a strawman.

Also, you literally said to stopping calling it "censorship" when it is literally censorship, so you are no different than the people that don't understand freedom of speech.

Useful idiots.
Most leftish folk no longer have any shame, that's why accusing conservatives or Republicans of ANYTHING is usually enough.

So if I owned a bakery and decided that due to my morals and beliefs I didn’t want to bake an “ coming out” anniversary cake for a non binary pink haired cross dresser - would you support my right to deny that? Or would you be apart of the mob calling for my family owned business to be cancelled?

No, no you wouldn’t. You’ve made that very clear with your disingenuous stance per usual Chris.

I think you’re a pathetic emasculated moron with takes that even a 6th grader could destroy in debate, yet you don’t see me calling for TD admins to banish you off this platform.

It's censorship by definition. Censorship doesn't have to be administered by a government official to be censorship.

The media's job is to sell advertising. To do that, you have to drive up listeners/viewers to drive up ratings, which results in higher advertising sales.

Cumulus has probably realized that the vast majority of their listeners don't want to hear any more talk about stolen elections, and that continued talk about such matters will likely turn away listeners, which reduces ratings, which reduces ad sale.

The irony in all of this, is that this is a perfect example of capitalism.

Too many Repubs have abandoned capitalism. They want just as much government control and spending, but they just want it used for "their beliefs" instead of democrat ones.

This has nothing to do with censorship and everything to do with $$$.

You ever wonder why there are so few liberal radio hosts? Because they don't bring in money.

It’s definitely censorship. He’s confusing it with violation of freedom of speech (1A) which this is not.

It is an attack on the american idea of free speech.

Not constitutional free speech.

I don't think many Repubs were for churches and businesses being forced to shut down for the last year, especially by the government.

What happened is they saw several corporations announce they were suspending political contributions to lawmakers that objected to the election results, and feared that could trickle down to their advertising coffers if their radio and TV personalities did the same.
