More Censorship - this time Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino

Last week, a radio executive at Atlanta-based Cumulus Media sent a memo telling its talk show hosts to stop spreading rhetoric about a stolen election or face termination.
“We need to help induce national calm NOW,” Brian Philips, executive vice president of content for Cumulus, wrote in an internal memo after a mob attacked the national Capitol building, first reported by Inside Music Media.
The company “will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended. The election has been resolved, and there are no alternate acceptable ‘paths,’” the memo said. “If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately.”
Cumulus runs Westwood One, one of the nation’s largest syndication companies in the nation, includes major Trump-supporting hosts such as Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino.
If there was no reason to be concerned about a particular issue, why force people to shut up about it?
They weren't spreading racism, hate, or even endorsing riots. They were discussing irregularities in the election.

We have a board for this and it's already got a multipage thread there.

I know they don't tolerate Shapiro.
But they are specifically telling them not to talk about a particular topic.

They're free to find gainful employment with another company that will allow them to spew their lies and propaganda.

Just claiming that it's lies and propaganda doesn't actually debunk what they are saying. A lot of people demanded proof of significant voter fraud are also the same ones not allowing discussion on the topic in a public forum.
If there was a problem with that election, it needs to be addressed so it doesn't happen again. We can't just put our heads in the sand.

ZERO DISCUSSION OF THAT ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM IS ALLOWED. IGNORE THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.
That strategy usually just draws attention to it. It will have the opposite effect of actually airing it out in the open.
And like it or not, polling is showing that most republicans and some democrats think that there was some irregularities in this election. Lack of trust in the integrity of our electoral process is mainstream. Censoring discussion on it will just draw attention to it.

I assume this happens all the time in media, for all kinds of reasons

Care to link us to any specific lies by Shapiro, Bongino, and Levin? Or you just running your mouth as per usual and hoping all Conservatives are silenced?

There's some pretty contrasting views between those three hosts but alas The Spleen doesn't understand nuance nor the targets of his comments and simply vomits the talking points from his leftist echo chamber.

True. This is a little different than interviewers not talking about their subject's recent divorce, DWI, or botched plastic surgery.
You guys aren't at least a little concerned over the topic of this particular digital book burning?

It is funny how yall keep referring to the rich corporate execs as "the left".

Didn’t the left spend the last 4 years gnashing its teeth and swearing the 2016 election was corrupt and that Donald Trump was a fraudulent/illegitimate president? Now anyone who questions this election is to immediately be silenced.

I don't really know or recognize the poster, but I do lose a lot of respect for people that support a digital book burning of any kind.

i think what twitter, facebook and big tech is doing is 100% wrong.
however, this is a bit different, as it's an employer telling an employee to change the subject. similar to espn leadership (after Jon Skipper left) issuing a directive to ease off the politics a while back.
IMO, I don't see an issue with Shapiro or Leven speaking on general improprieties of universal mail in voting. but if they're talking about the dominion voting machine nonsense, or some other wild and unproven conspiracy, i have zero problem with the employer telling them to zip it.

Frick the left. I will continue to speak my mind as I see fit. God did not give us life to allow anyone to tell us what we can and cannot think. Sorry, not sorry.
