Strippers. They always tell me that they're all doing what they do to put themselves through med school. I tend to believe them.

Seriously. Imagine making a wage that private industry laughs at AND having that wage be public knowledge.

Some people aren’t equipped with the patience or apathy needed to navigate the landscape of government workers and bureaucratic BS.

A lot of people worship and idolize windshield guys, but we put our pants on 3 legs at a time like everyone else.

Are govt workers tax exempt or something else I’m unaware of?

Teachers - work 8 months and get paid for a year

Work 182 days a year and get paid for 182 days broken up over 12 months.
Edit to add:
Teachers retirement system deducted right around $400.00 per month for my pension. I know some tax dollars fund public retirement but don’t act like teachers are not contributing through payroll deduction and taxes.

Any teacher that draws any check at all for the last year, at least from my kids school, is committing robbery.

Yeah, but don't forget to deduct your 3 alimonies and your sugar baby's weekly allowance.

Draftsmen/Designers

Some Contractor guys are pulling in $80 an hour. That's an outlier but most Designer 4s are around $40 an hour with full company benefits. Not bad for an office gig with a 2 year degree and a hazardousess work environment. Some didnt even go to college.

I am going to assume this is a post to troll CPAs.

I think this qualifies more along the lines of “who didn’t know?” You didn’t think some of the best accountants in the world that know how to take advantage of the unnecessarily complex tax scheme and save people significant %s of wealth made $300-400k?

So, if we assume teachers make roughly 45k, if they worked the same number of days as a "normal" job, they would be making 64.5k. That isn't too bad.

Where are they making this? My brother has 15 years of experience as a draftsman/designer, with an associates and has been laid off for like 6 months. And it's not for lack of trying. He also wasn't making $40/hr when he got laid off (probably closer to $30/hr).

Teachers payroll IS tax dollars too. The taxes paid by teachers (and any other govt. employee) is a tax on taxes already paid by the public.

Velocity of taxation.

Let's see how many times we can tax taxes! A winning economic strategy in some minds.

Travel nurses. Everyone thinks they make good money, but with a little experience they can make stupid money.

Work two 13 week contracts a year (4 12hr shifts a week) and clip significantly over 100k including per diem, and take the other half the year off.
