I’ll start.

Accountants (Big 4 in particular) - who knew Partners could easily eclipse $1million annually. Directors coasting at $300k-$400k into a retirement with a solid pension.

Those bean counters aren’t H&R warriors......

Footnote: we all know already about plant operators

I saw an ad in the newspaper long ago stating that a large percentage of women wear bras that don't fit correctly, and that one of the mall stores (Macy's or Dillards?) was having an expert bra fitter event at the store to assist women in determining their proper size and fit. If only my high school guidance counselor had mentioned that I would have known my calling in life. Who cares what it pays?

Federal, State, or Local?

Typical retirement and pension eligibility for new employees in State and Federal work have it designed so that really anything under 30 years isn't worth it at all, which means the person in that scenario would start at 19. Also they usually aren't eligible until an age in their 50's.

If you're talking about local Police and Fire, well that's a different story. If their pension packages upset you, take it up with your government.

Yeah....for $40k. I don’t begrudge teachers as to this day I remember many of mine that pointed me in the right direction.

I had a brother in law who worked for a government agency. At every holiday gathering, he’d take a few breaks to send or respond to a few work emails from his team on his phone. They’d just have a circular conversation but they’d all be able to put down hours worked at the double holiday rate. There was peer pressure to participate. Same deal on weekends.

He is going to be able to retire early on a base pay that is pretty low.

Yep, I'd rather my somewhat limited first hand experience with prime chesticles than unlimited but really horrible ones.

I always see people complaining about this. If it is that great then why aren't you doing it?
