Lettuce has been terrible for months at my local Walmart. They get random brands that are small heads of lettuce and it’s hard to find one not already starting to turn brown in spots. Not sure what happened to the good Dole lettuce they had for years

How long ago did you open it?

Expiration dates are based on unopened items. Once you open regular milk, it’s got about 7 days of being good.

If you get some brands like fair life that are ultra pasteurized, it may be 14 days, but still depends on when it is opened and those clocks start.

I love sweet potatoes but they look like lepers that got rolled to the grocery store and injected with testosterone.

I fricking love milk and the smell test has never failed me. Milk doesn’t always have a pleasant smell or anything but you can definitely tell when it’s spoiled.

This logic never works with certain people. They know it’s bad , it’s why they avoid it. But me being OCD as I am a can’t let something just sit when it needs to be dealt with . Like dishes piling up in the sink, I wash the dirty dishes as I use them and put them on the drying rack. Yet dishes pile up in the sink.
The theory of just let them pile up till there’s nothing left to use and washing dishes is logically the only option has failed miserably every time.

Again likely because of my OCD and long before anyone else ever manifests the notion that action must be taken to combat the ever growing number of dirty dishes lest we revert to cave people and have to eat with our God given utensils like it was out last meal, I again surrender to the problem at hand. And this is the vicious cycle.

I go through 3 gallons a week by myself, so I definitely do not have an issue with worrying about it expiring.
