Have never had that happen with Almond milk…

Not sure if this is the issue but it may be something else beside the temperature in your fridge.

#1 It was not properly chilled in shipping

#2 Excessive opening of door in grocery

Both could produce random spoilage

#3 In back of your fridge and too cold there, so it freezes and thaws and looks like spoilage but is safe, If it freaks you out just run it through a fine strainer and filter the chunks

#4 You have young male in the house who drinks straight from the jug. No matter how clean he thinks his mouth is, there is bacteria that back flows to the container and spoils it quicker. Tell them to get a glass and use it or you will start making them pay for the milk at 5x your cost. If this happens at the fridge at work, we had a solution but will refrain from posting it here as you needed the aid of a vet with a sense of humor.

Same here lately for milk from HEB. Which is weird because it used to last a few days past the printed.

We've never had that problem. Although my wife (no pics) drinks milk like its water. So, a gallon rarely makes it past three or four days before its empty.

Did you have a big gap between your last use of the milk?

Baw I drink at least one tall glass of ice cold 2% every night. Nothing like it. So I drain a gallon about every 4 days.

Back of fridge is coldest, keep your milk there. Use a temp gun to check avg. actual vs thermostat temp.

Mammals, other than humans, have the gene that produces lactase (to digest lactose) switched off when they mature to adulthood. At some point after humans domesticated animals, a mutation that stopped that from happening became a preferred characteristic in humans. The people that still have it switched off are lactose intolerant.

But there are a few animals that occasionally drink the milk of other animals. The Red-Billed Oxpecker is a bird that can perch on the udders of an impala and suck its milk. Besides the Oxpecker, birds such as Seagulls and Sheathbills have been reported to pilfer milk from elephant seals’ teats directly.
