Marco is currently raining in Port Arthur as those folks finish packing up and walking away from what will be left of their homes. What a dick Marco is.

That convection on the SE side is popping off like crazy in the last half of that, it's about to go HAM over the next 12 hours.

Levi said it would slowly intensify over that span, I think we're seeing the beginnings of that there. And it just finished passing over a slightly cooler swath of water churned up by Marco earlier and is entering warmer, more favorable sea temps.

I think we'll see it organize quite a bit over the next few hours and get a clear eye.

*JUST MY UNPROFESSIONAL AMATEUR OPINION BASED ON BEING A WEATHER NERD. FOR DISCUSSION ONLY.*

Windfield is clearly expanding, as earlier there was very light gusts in the NW - W quadrants.

Can someone speak to how fast the storm is moving and how to compares to what was expected, and how it compares to past storms?

That’s what’s scaring me honestly. I’m really waiting on that westward movement from this storm. I want to see it. I said yesterday that everyone in Louisiana needs to be prepared. Like I said better to be prepared than to be caught with you pants at your ankles.
