350 pages. Is this one of the longest in TD history?
TigerDroppings historians are still doing research from when this question was brought up this morning.

Holly Beach is about to get some new sand to cover up all the needles on the beach!

I was actually surprised to hear he thought it was going East, usually they want you to think the worst is happening here. He even threw out a "we might not even get rain" in there..

I guess I shouldn't have said 24 hours, more like 12. I think we'll wake up in the morning to a very organized, scary looking motherf*cker that is closer to its final intsenity when it makes landfall than it is to its current intensity.

Given prevailing weather conditions on the Gulf Coast, I believe it’s been outsourced to the German office.

This seems like another good place to mention Hurricane Track.
They, Mark Sudduth and crew, already have cams and instruments set up in Cameron and Holly Beach. They are setting up more, and they will be live throughout the landfall and aftermath. It does take a $10 level Patreon subscription to view them, but they are good folks worth the money.
They may also attempt to launch a weather balloon with 360° cameras on it into the eye.

What is the HIGH Ridge doing? Will it keep Laura away from SELA? Is that one of the reasons we haven't seen this big west push yet?

That sounds pretty fricking awesome, but begs the question:
have they done this before, and where can I watch it?

My gut says nah we will be fine.
That usually means it will be bad because my gut is not to be trusted.

Healthy outflow on the south side but still lacking on the north. That will improve over time and as it expands this will be one of the first signals of a strengthening phase.

Northern outflow improving and the system is no longer looked mashed down on the north side.

Keep fighting the good fight. I know what it’s like to pour your heart and soul into doing the complex math required to report the heading of a storm between each update only to be shite on by the hurricane thread bullies.
Down let the downvoted stop you. Keep plugging away at the calculations and keep us up to date. We need you.

He has actually been one of the pioneers of remote cams and instruments. He doesn't take a whole lot of risks. His plan will likely be to ride it out at the safest location possible with hopes of getting in the eye at some point. He isn't a huge risk taker.

Not exactly sure where you are but the Atchafalaya River is predicted to rise 4’ between now and Thursday afternoon
Didn’t you once say you were in Belle River, north of Lake Verret? If so you’ll be fine.
The river is so low right now even at 7’ at Morgan City still won’t make a big difference
