The Russians are losing more soldiers per month than the US lost in the entire 17 years we were in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. The Russians have already roughly doubled their total "official" losses from 10 years in Afghanistan Say what you will, but they are not attempting to minimize their losses. I mean just look to their attempt to cross a river in the same spot TWICE (reported a possible 3rd, but not confirmed). That's not trying to minimize anything. ETA: And the above has nothing to do with the possible outcomes of the war, just stating that Russia is not trying to minimize their losses or being cautious as alleged.

Literally everything Lima says is complete bullshite. I think the kremlin would blush at some of the horseshite he’s spinning. And don’t let the pseudo military and policy speak fool you. He’s tipped his hand more than once in this thread. It’s all about the Jews to him, like every other lunatic.

You don’t trust all those links he provides to back up his “facts”?

You can be a reasonable contrarian ITT and we have a few but it’s obvious he’s just another refugee from Q land even if he purports to post legitimate stuff (as opposed to emojis and memes). He absolutely, positively will not admit that anything in this war has gone wrong for Russia and has made a bunch of weird comments about the Jews and Trotskyites (wtf ?). That’s all it boils down to for him at the end of the day.

Russian state backed hackers targeted several countries allied with Ukraine, Microsoft says

Multiple cyber espionage operations were recently carried out by Russian government hackers, targetting countries allied with Ukraine, Microsoft said.

“The cyber aspects of the current war extend far beyond Ukraine and reflect the unique nature of cyberspace,” Microsoft President Brad Smith said in the report.

Researchers have traced a series of cyberattacks on Ukrainian entities to Russian state-backed hacking groups since February and also found that 128 organizations in 42 countries outside Ukraine were targeted by the same groups.

Many of these recent attacks attempts were aimed at the United States, but several were aimed at NATO member states, including organisations in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, and Norway, as well as Finland and Sweden, who have voiced their desire to join the NATO alliance in recent months.

The Russian embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment

I don't normally post the "Ukraine hits Russian target" tweets or the other way around, but I have noticed a substantial increase of Russian hitting Ukrainian target videos recently. Not sure if that has to do with anything, but just something I have noticed.

With that said (from the Kyiv Independent so take it accordingly)

According to Russian state-controlled media, an explosion happened on Jun. 22 on a military base near Vladimir. Reportedly, there are four people dead and four injured

According to Christine Lambrecht, Ukraine has assured Western countries that it's not going to attack Russian territory and will use Western-provided weapons for its own defense.

This is why the world hates Russia and always will. All they understand is force and only deal in fear. They are thugs. NATO meeting coming up so let’s try to act like the big bully on the street by threatening member’s airspace. Now the world knows they are all talk and no go from the war in Ukraine. Any real military would destroy them in short order with their terrible leadership and outdated equipment.

Question becomes, when do you call the bluff and shoot down the jet for the violation? Not advocating for it or against it, but given current circumstances some may decide now is the time.

Turkey shot down a Russian Jet( SU 24) near its border with Syria. Turkey survived & still has perhaps the best relations with Russia among major NATO nations. Sometimes I feel that we are a little too considerate of Russian feelings.

But I understand the restraint.

That’s kind of my point, Ukraine has shown we’re far too considerate of their feelings, but the baltics, Eastern Europe are not us. They do have our backing though. At a certain point you roll the dice and show them you’re not fricking around when they violate your airspace or your domestic waters. There’s risk, but I think the risk is more on what gets destroyed/innocent lives lost vs actually losing a conflict. That’s what I mean by Ukraine has shown us we’re too considerate.

Best way to stop a bully is to punch that mfer right in the mouth, but your taking the risk of response. I think today more nations are more accepting of that risk than 6 months ago.

The Russians know they are on thin ice too that’s why they switched off their transponders and only stayed in foreign airspace for 2 minutes. They don’t want to give anyone time to scramble jet crews or be targeted by AA systems. They want to act like the big red bear but they have resorted to playing bitch tactics just being a nuisance. They don’t want to piss Poland or Turkey off if they can’t take a few miles in Ukraine in over a month.

Video from the Kamakazi drone strike on a Russian Refinery 150KM deep in Russia.

quote:

#Ukraine: A Kamikaze drone struck the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery, in #Rostov Oblast, Russia; causing a large fire.

Although the precise type is unclear, it appears to be based on the UA PD-1 or PD-2 series of reconnaissance UAVs. The area is around 150km from the front line.

This link shows the aftermath

Here is some video of the immediate aftermath. The PD-1 and PD-2 have a max payload of 22kg; but in this instance it is quite possible that the drones have been modified to carry a larger warhead.

Either way, a fascinating example of modern warfare.
