Well let’s see, on my Porsche 996 it takes around 9.5 quarts full synthetic plus a synthetic filter. I do it myself and it cost me around $60 so I can only imagine what quickie lube will charge.

Brags about owning a Porsche, too cheap to pay for Porsche service.

For an oil change? A pretty big chump. Plenty of places charge 1/3 of this.

For synthetic?

Much easier to go to the quick lube place than deal with disposing of the 14 quarts of oil my diesel holds. And like others mentioned you are maybe paying $10 over doing it yourself. I do change my own fuel filters though.

I pay $40

It cost $33 in material at Wal-Mart or Autozone then I have to get rid of the oil. $7 to not have to worry about getting dirty and getting rid if oil is worth it to me.

I have had several cars that just the oil and filter run almost $100 online.

I don't mind changing oil for most cars and trucks the materials (synthetic oil/mid grade filter) is about $35 and I can do it in about 20 minutes from sitting in my chair to back again.

I pay 75 dollars which also includes changing the turbo oil and filter which try as I might I haven't been able to find in the owners manual so I guess I'm lucky to have found a good honest oil change guy.

I pay a hair under $65, fees and taxes included, for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation.

Also includes them topping off any other fluids as needed.

This is at a dealership. They have wi-fi so I can get work done while there.

8.5 quarts of Mobil 1 0w/20 ain’t cheap

I can find it for <$25/5qt at multiple locations right now.

Normal cost at Costco is $38 for 6 quarts or $6.33/quart (it's $10.00 off right now). So, at normal price you are looking at $57 for the oil before tax. You also need to get a filter. Mobile 1 filter or Wix is what I typically get, so you are looking at around $10.00 for the filter.

That means that you are out nearly $70.00 just on materials.

Note...If you go the route you are talking about (buying the 5 quart jug), then you are out $50 instead of $57 on oil.

Simply searching Google, Walmart's price: (copied directly)
-----------------------------------------
Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20, 5-qt.
Average rating:4.8467out of5stars, based on287reviews287 reviews
Mobil 1Walmart # 551650780
$22.88
-----------------------------------------
That works out to $38.89 for 8.5 qts. Maybe some of these guys are "too good" to walk into Walmart to buy their oil.

I would assume you have a high performance vehicle. Which would explain how much you are paying for an oil change.

If you can't afford the maintenance on your vehicle, you probably can't afford to drive that vehicle. Sorry you're poor.
