I’m wondering how long I would last behind the wheel on the million dollar highway in Colorado

I enjoy the prairie land between Lethbridge and Edmonton AB. Its flat, but has a beauty all its own. When you catch a glimpse of the Rockies near Calgary, its gorgeous.

It's peaceful to me driving through the country, and I've driven from Bellingham, WA to SLA. Part of me loves being in the middle of nowhere.

I59 from Slidell to Meridian is boredom central, I20 Meridian to Tuscaloosa is slightly more interesting, but barely.

It’s on my list.. along with Going to the Sun Road in Montana, the Road to Hana in Hawaii, the Alaska Highway (Alcan) in Canada and the Blue Ridge Pkwy.. ive done the entire Natchez Trace but ive heard the BRP is nicer .

Drive from Wichita to Denver and get back to me.

Or Wichita to Kearney, Ne

Or Wichita to Sioux Falls, SD

Or Wichita to Cedar Rapids, Ia

The worst drive in the entire state of Kansas is Larned to Garden City on K-156.

If you want to die from a million depressing yawns, Leave FT. Worth for El Paso. You will experience the trip to the lower reaches of hell, with no hope of return, complete with fiery backgrounds as they burn the gas off wells in the distance.

My takeaway from this thread: most of this country sucks arse for driving unless you’re by a coast.

Nope.

Get off of interstates and almost every state can be scenic.

Yes, you shouldn’t do it. Stay home, there’s too many people in Gulf Shores anyway

Edit: Tell all of your friends, family, Facebook followers too. Also there’s bedbugs down here

This is the truth. We just made the trip to GS week before last from central Arkansas. We pull our 5th wheel down every year and the absolute worst part of the trip is the loop around Jackson to get back on 49S. It’s rough as hell, going and coming. But it’s not anywhere near as aggravating now since the Richland construction is pretty well done.

The drive from Dallas area across north Texas heading to Colorado (via Texlin)... So many dead or dying towns that reek of cow shite. It is pretty bad.

You need to travel more Jack.

You sound like a pampered, soft handed pussy.

People really hate not being in congested cities is my takeaway. I love lonely highways and endless views.

Great plains are awesome.

My least favorite drive is Houston to NOLA.
