Even worse for the forecasters because more and more people are not listening anymore. Why should they when a historic storm is predicted and nothing extreme happened in their area.

They'll listen after they lose their home

Like every other industry, there's good and bad. Find a good, reputable guy like Spann in B'Ham or David Chandley here in Atlanta, guys who have been doing it for 3 decades +. Drown out all the other noise. Don't listen to the Ginger Zee's or Rob Marciano's.

As long as it stays right on the other side of 60, which as of now it's forecast to, we should be ok. Still strong storms, but hopefully nothing tornadic. If it gets closer to 65, watch out.

Be safe, brother.
I'm be more worried about the dew point.

Same here. But it's a lot better than our previous place that was nothing but pines. frick those things in storms.

but I’m assuming a lot of the higher end threat to us is hypothetically big discrete cells churning over the border and staying together into our area.

This is a correct assumption.
