Dallas to Amarillo or Amarillo to Raton Pass are both pretty desolate

You obviously don't look for antelope. And you should stop and look at the old volcano. Can't do that in Mississippi.

I like this drive. The scenery changes once you get past Dalhart.

At least you're out of east Texas.

The drive from Lubbock to Northern New Mexico is brutally boring and sketchy. I'd put Clovis, NM up there with any Southern shithole city.

I’m nitpicking but I-20 doesn’t really go through the heart of the Ms Delta

That would be highway 82

Went to Galveston Beach first time last summer - had low expectations - not like beautiful Florida Gulfside beaches, but did remind me some of MS Gulf Coast beach towns pre-casinos. I was pleasantly surprised.

I find the drive across florida panhandle to be my least favorite.

Its like the rules of ohysics breakdown and time stops. You can checkin, but you can never leave

Not as trashy as Galveston or Biloxi.

Is this some kind of “im going to gulf shores” brag?

He is going to be really upset when he finds out the Gulf Shores condo he booked is actually in Fort Morgan

Something to ponder on the private flight to Montauk.

I-16 between Macon and Savannah is pretty bland.

If you’ve never driven I59 from Slidell to Gadsden, you don’t know what you’re missing—and that’s a good thing.

Pretty much everyone agrees that Midland/Odessa is hell on earth scenery wise. So I nominate I-20, 100 miles east and west of that.

Wrong route. When you get to Shreveville, hang a right on i-49 south and stay on it til you get to I-10--- go through BR and connect to I-12 East through Livingston and Hammond. Reconnect to I-10 east at Pearl River LA and drive the Redneck Riviera straight to Orange Beach-- avoid Gulf Shores, it's trashy
