When the Titanic hit the iceberg and consequently sank, the Atlantic Ocean was around 28°F (-2°C), which is below freezing. At that temperature:
- you lose dexterity in under two minutes,
- you lose consciousness in under fifteen minutes,
- you die in fifteen to forty-five minutes.

Assuming traveling solo...
1. Secure a large weapon / tool like a fire axe.
2. Find a large, wooden chest or armoire or other large wooden piece of furniture capable of floating and functioning as a life boat.
3. Remove the doors and ensure no leaks; fashion a paddle.
4. Fill the raft with any food and alcohol available, a bible, a small mirror to signal boats, and anything that can function as a tarp.
5. Move the raft to the deck and wait.

I would had torn down a door and got the best brandy I could find and take my chances floating on the door and getting drunk.

Grab that big arse upright bass from the band and jump in the water.

Also the seas are almost always rough so anything you try to stay afloat on better be solid

I would have behaved as they did - let the women and children go and hope for the best.

So you could float out there in the dark, freezing Atlantic, thumbing through the Bible? Trying to find that one passage that goes "Oh God oh God oh God of frick shite oh my God Jesus fricking Christ it's so fricking cold?"

Probably would have warned them about the iceberg ahead of time

Math.
I'd have launched a few head boards, coated myself in lard, grabbed a wool blanket, and dipped out with some whiskey, brandy, and an axe.

Depends on how old I was at the time.
Current age I would’ve done anything to survive short of putting another person in harms way.
I would’ve drank a lot of alcohol before sinking I know that. A lot.
