Well, Google Maps shows me 550 miles from the closest point of the Mississippi River so I’ll pass.

mean I’d just run there from my house but there’s a big arse refinery in the way… they’re not gonna like me trespassing
When you get there, you can help with rebuilding the ferry landing…

Any reason why you are asking this question?

Home growing up I could have done it in one min, it was 250yd to the waterline.
Now I’m about 20miles but can’t take a straight line so I’m gonna go with marathon time of 4:40min

no way i could run, but 10 hours on foot, roughly 48 minutes in a car.

Google maps says it would be about 7 hours. Crossing the causeway is going to suck.

From my home?

It's 4 miles and I don't run. Walking about an hour and 15'.

30 seconds if I don't mind just jumping in. Slightly longer if I grab a ladder.

Do I have to run on I12? Probably won't make it

I've run from my house to go run on the levee before, and it's just a touch over 3 miles. I'm a sub-8 minute pace runner, so let's call it 25 minutes from door to water.

according to Google earth the closest is Memphis about 320 miles. so about 10 days.

Where grew up: 20 min
From where I sit as I type: would take a Forrest Gump “jog”.

Internet said 79 hr 58 min
248.4 mi
But that's like 10 marathons so I'm guessing somewhere between 26 years to never.

about 65 miles away.. Can't run that far so I am going to say most of the day (24 hours) as I am not walking 65 miles without a nap.
Posted on 3/24/26 at 10:06 am to OysterPoBoy
under 5 minutes, I would walk out of work and head straight down the street for a mile
Posted on 3/24/26 at 10:14 am to OysterPoBoy
2 hours walking. I ain't running unless something was chasing me.
