Mais, Siri, how far is da old river control structure?

Depends on if there’s a wreck on the basin

It's about 65 miles as the crow flies from me. If I were a world class runner and could hold my pace as long as necessary, it would take me roughly 5 hours. I'm not though, so who fricking knows

Less than 5 minutes, live just off the River road in Brusly.

It’s about 50 mi from here…so assuming 5 mph would 10 hours of walking. Would rake a hell of a lot longer than that, though!

Drive, less than 5 mins.
Run, 15mins to touch water, the rivers down a little.

Seeing as how I live damn near on the Missouri River, it would be quicker for me to jump in that and float down to the confluence than run across the State of Iowa to Dubuque.

Not running. Can drive there in 2 minutes. But, why?

Same here. I’m in Front Brusly.

All foot. Whatever pace you are capable of.
If I could get 20 miles a day, 41.

According to Google. 12 minute drive. 3 hour walk
Posted on 3/23/26 at 11:57 pm to Napoleon
Google maps says 29 days to walk it. So if I’m running maybe 20 lol

Growing up i lived less than one block from the levee.. so i could make it to the river in under one minute, easy… now i live overseas so id be looking at three legs of flights, one of which would be about 15 hours, totailing approximately 27-32 hours door-to-door.. id land at Armstrong , then in theory i could run to Rivertown in Kenna and touch the river there in about one hour, if i train for the run beforehand .. BUT i would not want to book my flights now b/c of all the Middle East nonsense, a white American like me flying internationally would be a prime target for terrorism.. so id probably book my flights for later in 2026 in hopes that the geopolitical tension would subside somewhat .. so the short answer to your question is- It would take me about six months from now to touch the Mighty Missisip .

Per google about 44 days
