I don't believe is superstition but you could have waited until November to start this thread
I find it so interesting that people grab their phone and record themselves after something happens and talk to the camera on the phone like it is a live broadcast to everyone.
I get some pics and a quick video of my injuries, but a broadcast is strange.

I am from South La and I have heard the Gulf of Mexico/America called "The Gulf" my entire life (52). I like the name Gulf of America. It actually seems to fit. I could see this one actually staying bc it is in the south.
Lake America, does seem to fit the same way. Maybe bc the US has so many lakes and one gulf. Should have named it after Dolly Parton..lol

Crazy the two worst hurricanes I have been through both hit on the same day. Katrina and Ida
I was 31 at my house in Mandeville and I remember waking up on the couch and seeing Bob Breck on the news. It was about 3am and he was confused by the new update. He made a phone on the air and then looked at the camera and said that Katrina was now a Cat 5.
Then my dad coming to my house in the morning and saying they are evacuating (my dad never left for a Hurricane before Katrina)
Coming back the nextday from Folsom and seeing all of the tree tops gone from almost every tree.

To me Alien 3 felt like a side quest in a video game. Fun but not the real story or mission.
I liked the action, plot and all of T2, but I cannot stand Edward Furlong and he takes away from the movie.

Makes the upcoming season a little more interesting.

The Earthquake: A morning earthquake struck the region at 08:37 local time.

That was crazy. The force of the mud slide was incredible.

Me: 5'9" my son is 6'2"
I have never thought of the sexuality of any of the mascots in any league.
I just started my senior at Mandeville High. I remember a few of us went out to the Mandeville lakefront and the waves were huge and crashing over the wall. It was pretty cool. We decided to try to play football in an open area until the police made us leave.
The 1st movie that popped into my head was Madame Web
