My wife is a professor and the small of weed was more prevalent on campus in the 90’s than it is now. Kids are smoking weed vape pens. The smell goes away fast and it is cheaper. Kids still smoke flower, but usually in blunts and not in public.
If your in public and smell weed look for an adult. They still prefer flower and aren’t used to the strength and go in public smelling like weed.

Recently took a three week trip through the Northeast. Everywhere we went it smelled like weed. Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston. It didn’t matter where we were, every hotel, restaurant, museum, ball park , everyplace smelled of weed. I told my wife that it reminded me of when we were young and every place you went smelled of cigarettes because everyone smoked every where back then and how no one noticed because everyone stunk of cigarettes. We really notice cigarette smoke now because so few people actually smoke cigarettes around people.
It’s everywhere in large cities and liberal States. My daughter made a comment that this is what it must of smelled like at Rock concerts in the 80’s.

These threads are always hilarious. Thank you so much. The tattoo threads are just un-funny bitching about shite that's none of your business, but the weed threads are definitely much funnier and even though I disagree with you, I can empathize with those complaining about the smell because it does have an impact on others in the immediate surrounding area. I think marijuana smells good and I always enjoy catching the scent. However, the places where I do catch a whiff of cannabis being enjoyed do make me wonder sometimes. Lots of people being very irresponsible about their consumption, but it's no big deal, some of you need to get a life.

Some places like Manhattan it is very tough to avoid the smell is pervasive and seemingly everywhere.

I find this smelling of pot stuff hilarious.
As many of you know I am a big med pot person. Including inside and outside the pot “pharmacy” I simply don’t smell pot smoke but maybe once a year.
Most adults are either eating it or vaping. I also have a skin cream of it that will make a person stagger if they use it a bunch (much harder to titrate the absorption). I simply don’t get places people that still burn plant material go apparently.
It’s nothing like when tobacco smoking was popular. I can remember a few doctors walking into the exam room with a cigarette hanging from their mouth. People smoking on airplanes in flight, bathrooms and stairwells were all full of smoke 24/7.

While I’m actually against legalization because of the same reasons in the OP, I am interested in seeing some of these statistics you are talking about.
