re: Why should we stay in NATO?

But, we haven’t been to war with Trump in office. Why does that matter?

From 1/20/17 to 1/20/21 we were in Afghanistan

Poland sent over 33,000 soldiers to Afghanistan. In 2009 France spent over half their budget in Afghanistan. England lost 457 soldiers in Afghanistan, Canada 159, France 90, Germany 62. A third of soldiers that died in Afghanistan were from our NATO allies. It’s not a member of NATO, but the Ukraine lost soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.

Who do you think was more authoritarian? Dick Cheney and Bush Sr.? Or Trump.

Cheney wasn’t president and the buck didn’t stop with him. Difference is Trump wants to be an authoritarian and says so in round about ways. He set a record by signing 143 EO’s his 1st 100 days in office. Joe Biden signed 162 in 4 years. Obama signed 276 in 8 years.

Trump wants the power to do what he wants and he believes the Courts and Congress should not be allowed to stop him.
There should be at least 4 main parties. Conservative Democrats and left leaning Independents get stuck with the far left and Republicans should be split between MAGA and Rhinos. Evangelicals are not represented by MAGA. If they would have had a different legit conservative choice they wouldn’t have voted for Trump.
quote:

No chance. Ronald Reagan took over a country that was in a dangerous cold war, suffering from stagflation, and extremely polarized politically.

Jimmy Carter signed the SALT II Act with the Soviet Union. It was at that juncture that we knew the Soviets were living on borrowed time. Nixon probably had more to do with the USSR failing than any president after him. Reagan got the glory and sound bites, but the 80’s received the benefits of how the Cold War was handled in the late 60’s and 70’s.

The Soviet government economical stagnation in the 70’s is what really caused their collapse.

In 80’s the Soviet’s spent a lot of money in the war in Afghanistan, but their economy collapsing in tbe 70’s was their downfall.
Who knows how today’s politicians would have fared in the late 1700’s or 1860’s.

Washington had a scruffy red beard, he had no teeth, he was skinny, and had no formal education. If you saw him on the street today he would probably look like he was on meth. Washington’s family was not rich and everything he had came from marriage. Mount Vernon and the entire plantation was owned by Martha’s family. Even though the family had a large plantation he would be considered house poor.

One of the reasons soldiers in the revolutionary war loved him was because they considered him one of them.

Politicians after him didn’t listen to him or his ideas and went with Thomas Jefferson. Washington and Adams were in favor of a strong central government over strong state government.

Many of his ideas or policies go against a lot of what Republicans stand for today. He was not in favor of some of things in the Bill of Rights. When the Bill of Rights were ratified it was voted on by each state.

Washington wasn’t necessarily in favor of the 2nd Amendment the way it is today. He was in favor of a strong civilian military, but there is no record of his thoughts on the right to bear arms. Everyone thinks the quote “When government takes away citizens' right to bear arms it becomes citizens' duty to take away government's right to govern”. The quote is not from him or any other founding father. The way it is worded it probably came from the early to mid 20th century.

Why he was considered a good president is the transition from colony into a country. He was good candidate for the job, because he was loved by the people and not because he had great ideas for a new country.

He should not be considered a top 5 president. Thomas Jefferson policies are closer to today’s Republican Party than Washington’s were
How many voters watched the SOTU? Most of those watching were MAGA, so he was speaking to the choir.

The rest of America and most voters will get snippets or see highlights on social media from Bill Maher, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, CNN, MSNBC, or other liberal comedians.

In just a few days his speech will be considered one the worst SOTU speeches ever by people who get most of their news from social media.

That is the case with most things he does
quote:

Trump could have made money with less risk by being a donor to whatever suit is in office.

He loves money, but he needs power. Being the president gives him that power and that is the ultimate high for a narcissist like him.
quote:

White leftist women everywhere are the enemy.

Far left and far right are the problem. Most people know very little about politics and only start paying attention during election season.

Both sides are told to believe
1. If you are Republican or on right that all Democrat’s are baby killing communist

2. If you are Democrat or on the left that all Republican’s are White Nationalist.

What did he do to his mom?

He did something before he started recording and the dad knew it.
quote:

it's a long-term economic projection over 20-30 years that leverages future growth and sanction-lifted market access. Not to mention that Russia sits on a nice Rare Earth market that goes largely untapped without our help.

Does Russia or Putin?
1. Stand by their treaties
2. Stand by their promises
3. Lie
4. Treat their allies good
5. Kill their own politicians that could make this work
They would have to sell or give us the eastern part of Russia to have any where near that much money. Russia could take bids and the US, China, Elon Musk, and Japan would go all in.
quote:

He isn’t supporting violence

We don’t know enough about this situation to really form the right conclusion.

He could have video’s or pictures of hurting people on his computer.

A 20 year old that can’t get a job or go to college might start blaming immigrants. He could be a far right white nationalist planning to kill someone. His mom could be on the far left and be disappointed her son is a conservative.

He is definitely playing it up for the video. His dad is letting him off easy. If my 20 year old son made wife cry like that I would have slammed his head off the wall and threw his arse out of my house.
quote:

Somebody's about to get sued.

That would mean every time Trump is mentioned it couldn’t be redacted in discovery. Does the Republican’s or Trump want that.

It doesn’t matter if it’s true. Lieu said there is “allegations” and not what or who they were from. It could be from an agents report that it was 3rd or 4th hand information and that they weren’t able to confirm the allegations.
quote:

The truth is foreign powers always meddle in them.

The US meddles in almost every election around the world
Not if he has dual citizenship. It doesn’t make sense or make it right, but they can vote in each country. The law should be changed. A person should only be allowed to vote in the country they reside in

In some European countries you need to be a citizen for 18 months, but in others you can vote immediately

That guy is lying. That is not what a ballot looks like. This a copy of a sample ballot

1. It’s definitely not the type of paper that is used for ballots. Ballots are made from a heavier thicker paper. They don’t bend like the one in his picture
2. The circle on this ballot is filled in to perfect.
3. You don’t get copy of your ballot after you vote.
There are bad people on both sides. Not all polls show the entire truth.

quote:

White Nationalist Sympathies: Some studies indicate that a portion of the Republican base sympathizes with aspects of white nationalism. A 2021 Newsweek poll found that roughly 23% of Republican men had a "very" or "somewhat" favorable view of white nationalists.

I think that 23% of Republican males is on the rise. If you’re not sure if you know people that share ideology with white nationalist watch the1998 movie American History X to see some of the things they believed 30 years ago. Things the White Nationalist say in the movie are on this board everyday. It doesn’t mean they are white nationalist, but it shows how a lot a people on the right share some of the same ideology on certain topics

Government ID and a Real ID are different. My license is not a Real ID, but by wife’s license is a Real ID. In Missouri license with a star in the corner is considered a Real ID. If it doesn’t have a star it says that it’s not a Real ID. When I got my license I didn’t ask any questions about it being a Real ID and they didn’t say anything about it not being a Real ID.

Most people are in favor of a government ID requirement, but not everyone is in favor of the Real ID requirement. I’m sure there are a lot of Republicans in Missouri that don’t know their license is not considered a Real ID.

From Pizzagate going forward

Bannon was part of Q and he’s on the Epstein files. He knew about a child molestation ring, but it wasn’t out of pizza place.
He is the most hated president of all time. It doesn’t matter if he does a good job. People that hate him will never agree that he is doing something right.

Kamala got about 48% of the vote, so that seems about right. I don’t see many of her voters switching to team Trump.

Whether you buy the story of the angel, Gabriel commanding Muhammed to "recite", there's no doubt of Judaism as well as some Christian inferences in the Koran. But that's where any similarities stop overall.

They also believe Jesus will return and defeat the Antichrist.

He is a 4th highest prophet in Islam. Muhammad, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Noah.

Epstein had a floating pizza restaurant anchored at his island.

Everyone has a story about pizza or favorite pizza places

Obama’s favorite pizza place is in St Louis

Trump was in 3 different pizza commercials

Trump has a wood fire pizza place in Trump Tower

He eats pizza with a fork

Podesta’s are Italian. They use the word pizza for all kinds of dough based Italian food not just pizza
