Universities encourage this because they make more money off out of state students. But your tax dollars pay a lot to the school. Eventually your kids want be able to attend. It’s a means to keep the financial pie growing so they can afford to pay the raises and benefits that LSU administrators get!

Like any program when the students stop showing up for games is when they will replace him. Bruce did his kid no favors by the way with the crappy team he left him with. It’s why he left when he did but secured him a nice financial future for his family.

Other than the CFP bowl games are meaningless and the coaches and players no longer care. With transfer portal and hold outs for bowls the SEX players and many others just don’t care. Oklahoma,Texas A&M both had easy schedules and Alabama with 3 loses didn’t belong there either.Georgia and Ole Miss were the only legitimate candidates this year.

Yep all this came about because of the schools like
Ohio State
Alabama
Georgia
Michigan
USC
Oregon
Clemson
Texas
Paying players under the table and escalating facilities war. Other schools looking for revenue streams brought on the NIL lawsuits in order to compete! Coaches not contractually obligated to stay until end of season helped bring on the transfer portal.

ESPN is also responsible for much of this mess because its pundits pushed pay-for-play and the transfer portal at every turn. Now they are crying and saying something has to be done about this! Hypocrites! Their involvement in ownership and televising bowl games and college football awards didn’t help either. Their pushing certain teams over others for tv ratings has lessened credibility and thus interest.

If you want to watch true college ball then watch academy ball and lower division football. Division 1 has turned into NFL lite with no rules and a shite show!

1.Can only transfer after full season! If it runs into another academic semester tuff!
2. One year contracts. If you leave before new institution owes you the difference.
3. Eliminate all the extras universities supply like barber shops, recording studies, food and board, cars, etc… pre NIL. If kid is making a million he can surely support himself.
4. Start holding them accountable academically. Quit letting them slide with tutors and teachers. If grades are bad will eliminate many from transferring easily with shitty grades. Many universities are currently just giving grades to players. They have more power than they realize!

Every time they build something they say it will transform the city! And then it doesn’t! As long as crime, homelessness, crappy public transportation exist, and city officials that are corrupt and nepotism rains supreme, Atlanta will always be crap. I lived there 17 years and thank God every day since I left. Saw many so called transformative projects and none successfully transformed anything but made many public officials and developers richer. Until core problems solved this will be nothing more than 10 more years of traffic jambs
