Chicken have you used anal beads to cheat at chess before? Sounds like you know what you're doing

Assuming he didn’t cheat, can someone explain in football or golf terms how big of an upset this was?

Some people consider Magnus now one of the greatest players of all time. He is a legend and he's only 31.

The other guy is considered a very good player but one that everyone hates because they all think he has cheated on several occasions.

That's not true. Magnus has lost a ton of drive and he is dropping games to lesser opponents much more often than before.

This would be like a bottom 25, solid team at home defeating a #1. Certainly a big deal, but not unheard of

How is the cheating occurring?

Nobody knows, OTB (over the board) cheating is considered damn near impossible, especially in a big tournament like the Sinquefield Cup where they use anti-electronics measures. They took a lot of extra time to wand Hans before his next match which along with Magnus leaving the tournament indicated to everyone watching there was a question of cheating.

Hans has two strikes against him, first, he has admitted to cheating in an online game, and second, his classical rating rise over the last couple of years has been unparalleled in the history of chess. However, there were a lot of big jumps during COVID. Some have argued Ding jumped a similar amount.

Chess needs to get to the bottom of this...

What I don't get is, if someone is messaging him to do a move through the arse...

Wouldn't the person messaging him need to be really good as well?

Wouldn't the person sending the message be on a computer that's running all the possible moves and he's just sending what the computer says?

My guess is that there are two sets of vibrations...one for the file and one for the rank...if someone wants him to move a piece to H8, it would vibrate in his arse 8 times, pause, and then another 8 times...

Sounds like this dude just needs to skip the chess part of this

Has our society devolved so much as to have the Chicken Overlord actually speculate as to the Anal-bead vibrating strategy to cheat at a game of chess?

God, help us all.

How does the person on the computer know what moves the opponent is making? Are these events streamed live?

It definitely wasn't a Marshall or App State win. Hans is extremely capable. It isn't that Hans won it is how Hans beat Magnus. OTB, classical with black, and his moves were...odd.

If he hadn't already been caught using an engine to cheat I might be more skeptical.
