I turn my computer on at about 7am and shut it off at 5pm with a hour for lunch. Out of those hours I work about 5 of them most of the time, but while I may not be working I’m always on call. In my line of work one call can change your whole week.

I drive from stop to stop, and each stop takes anywhere between 5 minutes to a half an hour. So in an 8 hour day, if we’re not counting driving time, then I’m legit doing work about 2 hours a day max.

It depends, busy weeks, probably 30 hours, non busy weeks, probably 15.

I guess it depends on what you call work, too. A lot of what I have to do is research on how to fix an issue, so maybe you can bump those numbers up by 5 hours or so.

There are some days after I hit my deadlines that I can goof off pretty much all day. But I probably only work 3-4 hours at any given day.

Probably about 3-4 hours a day of actual work. In my defense, in those 3-4 hours, I do what takes most at least 4.5 hours.

Depends on how busy the day is.

Most days, Scruffy averages 30-35 pts in a 10 hour shift.

Bad days, it can upward of 50. Those days suck.

Summertime can be slow though.

During busy season, public accounting - audit, I'm really only at work for 24-30 hours during the week

Glad you're admitting it. I was advisory, and marveled at the pride audit took in getting the firm to buy you dinner when you were in the office for past 7pm during busy season, yet most people fricked around on fantasy sports, long arse coffee breaks, 90 minute long lunches, etc.

All of that culture is perpetuated by not billing accurate hours to the client, and just eating the time.

I think maybe you missed the important part. I said I was in the office for that long. I'm hybrid, so I only need to be there 3 days a week. I also stated that my actual workload during busy season is legitimately 55-60 hours of billable time. Lots of Sundays, Lots of late nights, working until 8 PM Fridays at my house.

You get paid for what you do, quantitatively.

I get paid for what I know, qualitatively.

You may call it slacking but I all it efficiency and intelligence
