This has been talked about several times on here. You need 3 QB’s minimum, no other way around it. This isn’t the NFL where you can just trade for another QB or pick one up in free agency mid-season.
QB1 messes up his knee in week one and is out for 8 weeks, we are living on a prayer with QB2? Then QB2 goes down in week 4, who’s the QB?
Bottom line no exceptions, you need at least 3, and probably a 4th and 5th for emergency and scout team. Doesn’t matter if they are on scholarship or walk on, you need 3 minimum. Look around and find a college that doesn’t have at least 3 QB’s on their roster.

Oregon can’t get everyone. The USC transfer is rumored wanting to go to Oregon too. They aren’t getting both.

That’s what the portal is. Small school standouts looking for better opportunities, or guys buried on the bench of big schools looking for a better opportunity at smaller schools.

I’m going out on a limb here and saying our starting QB for Clemson isn’t in the portal yet.

You absolutely need 3 QB’s, and probably even a 4th as a walk on scout QB. With 2, You’re one injury away from riding with one guy the whole season. This isn’t like the NFL where you can just pick up a guy in free agency mid season.

Depends on the QB? If we get Williams, absolutely as I believe LSU is a playoff contender in year one with him at QB.

I just had to talk a friend off the ledge because just about every signing LSU gets, he doesn’t like because they come from inferior schools to the SEC. Like the kid from Hawaii for example.
Had to explain that we don’t live in that world anymore. All top schools are littered with players from smaller conferences now.
It’s a different mindset now.

I think Barber finds his way onto the field at some point. Kid is legit.
Well special teams is taken care of in one day. RB’s and WR’s are covered. Only thing left is linemen.
Watched his highlights last night. Kid is like a bottle rocket once he tucks the ball and runs.
