From drugs and/or alcohol.

My sobriety date is Dec. 17, 2016.

Don't know you but glad you are doing better man.

ETA - I've been an alcoholic in my life in the past. Having a kid definitely straightened me up quite a bit.

I am always shocked, saddened and encouraged by the number of people that have struggled with addiction

I admit that I have an issue...this first step, by definition, means I am recovering. I celebrate my recovery nightly.

I've wondered if I aught to be, and would admit it if I was. But I admit, I drink more than is good for me and kinda fight a little Monday to Thursday.
