re: Tiger Stadium Blueprints / Poster
Posted by dat yat on 12/8/25 at 12:29 pm to GeauxTigersGo
My pap paw was one of the civil engineers wo designed the North Stadium and South Stadium. When he passed, there was a TS blueprint in his office. My cousin (who was smart enough to also become a civil engineer, unlike dat yat) got it and had it framed nicely. That blue-print was before the upper decks went in.
No clue where to get newer blueprints, good luck!

Price range in the 3K-6K range
You could get a brand new Honda rancher at the top of your price range.
When I was looking several years ago, I saw a few used ones. I remember the one with the snorkel sold by a guy with 2 teenage kids saying "This one has never been under water", haha...I decided on a new rancher 4x4 (under $5K in 2017) and it has been great. They last a long time if you treat them right.

I doubt you'll ever see a Three Loss LSU team in the 12 team playoff.
You sure about that? We saw a 2 loss LSU in a BCS championship game.
The committee chose the 5 best champions and the 7 best at-large teams. Frick ND.
I also like the h2h being a deciding factor and the fact that a CCG loss didn't frick over an otherwise deserving team.
One way this playoff could get better is if Sumrall's Tulane team can knock out the Lane-less Rebels in Oxford.

I am always curious, if they don’t own the land, how were they allowed to erect structures on it? If they do own own the land out to a certain point, then are the boaters trespassing?
In my area (Venetian Isles) we "own" to the center of the canal, and the guys on the other side own that side. HOA rules determine how far your docks can go from shore. The waterways provide access to owners and guests all along the canals. I'm not aware of disputes in my area about who gets to float/fish. I've only heard of 'wake' disputes and disputes about how far a dock or boathouse can protrude into the waterway.
The lady who pulled the gun belongs in jail for a while.

Interesting. So the only real differences were the Notre Dame/Miami decision and the 9-12 seeding. The committee did a damn fine job; I think giving the nod to Miami as the h2h winner was the right thing to do.

Alabama
I was at the game last night and watched Tulane earn their spot. I was happy for them; not embarrassed about being an LSU fan because I know our future is bright.
I quit again and haven't had a sip of booze since November. I was taking about 3 days do drink a fifth/750 of bourbon or a week to drink a handle. I may or may not have started with a beer or a glass of wine some nights.
So far no problems. I woke up a little easier each morning.
I will probably still drink socially because I don't have a problem there; what I really want to quit is the drinking alone on a nightly basis.

I have a lot of Indian clients there and have seen what you mean about the numbers in north Dallas...but refresh my memory on how many infidels they have killed or how much terrorism they have done?

STUPID. All she has to do is show her ID. Most of us (even white people like me) never leave home without it.

Bottom line, Kiffin was the best available coach and he got the best available job. Only time will tell if it was a great hire.

Worse.
We never hated Saban because he left us (for the NFL) in position for our best decade and a halfof our lifetime.
Kiffen showed OM what they could be, and they know they will never be as close again...ever.

My buddy called to ask what I thought..."Kiffin was always an a-hole; but i'm glad he's our a-hole."
I love LSU and believe LK will win a championship here. I hope it is several over a decade or more.

re: ANNUAL DOG HUNTING THREAD
Posted by dat yat on 11/28/25 at 12:34 am to Pepperidge
I've defended dog hunting because we did that when I was a kid and I love the sounds of chasing hounds. I've also killed a few in front on dogs... but this year the dogs pissed me off.
We worked hard on my place this year with plots and new stands and had deer coming morning, afternoon and of course night at most stands. When the season opens it's been dogs all day and deer only at night.
Pissed. Why can't MS allow 2-3 weekends of still hunt before the let the dogs out?
All the MS legislature ever considers is an all out ban on hounds. Compromise! Just give still/primitive hunters a few weeks. Then let the dogs out.
I love em both.

When we had rabbit dogs, a neighborhood called Stonebride was being developed on the westbank (NOLA). We hunted the rabbits block by block throughout the whole development with the beagles. Fun as hell shooting rabbits running out of those strips of woods. We hunted Jesuit Bend, Hermitage many other areas as far north as Pineville. Good times and I'll always appreciate them and my dad for getting those beagles.

If that means I get to shoot a turkey indigenous to my land during deer season I'm all in.

It happens in MS too. Last spring right before turkey season my neighbor caught a trespasser on a trail cam shooting 2 hens and a tom. His 80 acres are next to my 160, andthere is National Forest adjacent. Trashy people are everywhere.
