re: Another truck shopping thread: opinions needed Toyota vs Silverado - dat yat
Silverado. I bought one in 03, and my baw still drives it 15 years later. Repairs have been under 2k all that time. Toyota is reliable too, but the Chevy is underrated....

It's been over a decade and I'm still not sure she's "the one." Is there ever "the one" or do you just love the one you're with?...

re: Fans don’t think LSU is a blue blood - dat yat
We are not a "blue blood". It takes more of a history and better consistency over the decades to be blue blood. We are a potential powerhouse anytime we put the talent and coaching together. In our best years we can beat any blue blood out there....

re: Would you buy a former rental car? - dat yat
I bought a Ford from Hertz and it was fine for a while. Until the day it caught on fire in front of the nursery school when I was dropping off my son. It was fixable, but I never felt safe in it again and sold it to get a new Jeep. That was in the 90s; I'm sure it's different now....

re: What is the worst thing you got away with as a child? - dat yat
When a kid in the neighborhood stole a mowing job from us, my buddy and I sabotoged his lawnmower by draining his oil dry at midnight. When the mower blew a piston, he had to quit because his dad wouldnt let him use their new mower. For a few years, Shorty and I owned the mowing business in the ne...

re: Lifetime license fee in Louisiana for people over sixty is ridiculous - dat yat
[quote]it is just stupid, pandering politics to charge those over 60 LESS for a license than those under. At no time in my life has my ability to pay been better and at no time in my life have I had more time to fish than now. We should give those less than thirty a discount if we are going to give ...

I try the plunger first. If that doesn't work, clean the p trap. Then try liquid plumber. The snake is my last resort. This one time, it was so bad, I had to call a plumber who did a deep power snaking from the clean out in the garage ceiling. Since then, empty redfish half shells don't ...
