also don’t do “PTO”.
just have 5 weeks of vacation, couple of “personal days”, and a boss that is pretty relaxed about work/life balance. PTO sounds awful.

PTO gets accrued as compensation so I don't know why you don't want it. Depending on your state "vacation" may not have to be paid if you leave your job.
PTO means I'm not answering emails at all. I played golf today on work time.

Back 4/5 days of the week by choice now. Came back as often and soon as I was allowed.

How much weight (if any) have you gained? Got a couple friends who have added 10-15lbs since WFH
Lost double that…no more eating out for lunch everyday, have more time to prepare meals at home, exercise, etc.

Working from home since 2011. Covid didn’t change anything in my world.

Can't fix a helicopter from the couch or via zoom meetings. No change because of covid here.

For 6 weeks now, we go to the actual office once a week every other week.

0.
And I never minded the office so much just the fricking commute. Although remote is still so much more productive either way.

Judging by the 10 fold increase in parents that are clogging my street everyday (I live down the street from a school) I'd say most of them are still working from home. I've always had a home office and a "real" office - and I still have both. That never changed during COVID. COVID did take away of the nice perks of my job - not having to deal with a lot of other people during the workday. There are people everywhere at all times of the day now.
One advantage, though is the parking is a lot easier at my office building now. I'd say it's about at 10% of where it was before COVID.
One thing that I've noticed is that entertainment areas are always packed with people now, but workplaces are almost totally empty. I don't think a lot of people are even trying to work now that they don't have to go into an office. It used to be that you had to be an entrepreneur to make your own schedule and decide where you wanted to work. Now it's jut about everyone - especially with the invention of the internet, cell phones, email, etc. COVID just accelerated everything.

Hell I'm sitting here in my office at home in a tshirt and shorts, and haven't even bothered to take a shower yet.
You broke two major WFH rules: always take a shower and always wear work-ish clothes.

Hybrid only. Go in for just a few hours only. No point in burning all that gas up. Our team meets in zoom and teams.

As soon as we legally could we were and have been since, so it was only maybe 2-3 months of a rotation of folks working from home - we could by law have a max of 10 working in the office at one time during the worst regulations.
I know some say they work better from home without the hijinks and BS in the office but I would counter that number is in the minority, and I know that to be the case with those I work with - if they worked from home unsupervised they would frick off to no end.

Why? I don't have meetings. I don't even have to talk to people.
No one calls me. And if I call you, you fricked up something.

If the work gets done, I don't see any issue with signing off and doing something else. There is no need to be glued to a seat just because it is "work hours".

My company sent everyone home and brought everyone back 3-4 times thinking covid was over. A lot of people quit each time and others just refused to come back in. My team is a mixture of people who go in or stay home. I only go in on days I feel I need to be there which is 1-2 days a week.
