Seems like a lot of companies are making people go back and sit in their offices.

I have been in the office every single work day throughout the entirety of covid 19.

My butt has never left the seat, despite the pandemic. My desk also moves at .75 the speed of sound, so I am not totally mad at it.

Same for me. Even when the firm shut down for 10 weeks in '20 I came in and enjoyed the hell out of the peace & quiet.

Haven’t been to an actual office facility in over two years. Many people like the think that means your job is useless. But when the entirety of my job is performed on a computer, there’s no reason to be sitting in the same cubicle from 8-5.

Yeah we are doing hybrid indefinitely. Required to be in 1 day per week or otherwise when needed.

Same with us. Two days at home, three in the office. Although you can work additional days at home if necessary.

If I were to move someplace without an office, I'd be able to go full time remote.

Same here, 3/2. Don't really see the need to be in the office for 3 days a week. I can literally do everything as long as I have an internet connection and the "collaboration" has not changed one bit. With everyone working 3/2, you end up with a mixed bag of who's in the office when you are.

I never left the office. I was given the option but I can't be productive at home. Once the interstate is necked down I plan on only coming in to work for meetings and such.

I went into my office a couple weeks ago. 7 floors and I maybe saw 20 people.

If I never go into an office again except for a specific purpose I'll be happy.

One of the worst things you can do to your body is sit for 8 hours a day.

This. I changed companies and have never met a person that I work with or for. Everything is done remote. Which is odd to me. Pre-pandemic I also had a work from home job but you were flown out for interview/training and met up at conferences once or twice a year. I actually preferred that.

Yeah. I never had that option. I wouldn't want it either not with the schools being shut down and having to deal with kids and work. no thanks.

Been back since May '21. The team that reports to me are still working from home, but will be back on site by mid-May. Their productivity has been up significantly since working from home...but louder voices than mine insist that it is better for them to come back.

We’re back 2 days a week.

I can’t wait until the Millennials displace the Boomers in upper management and shakes this arse-in-chair stigma and we can go fully remote except for special cases (training, conferences, large group meetings, etc.).
