Went out with some friends one night for drinks. The bar closes and we exit out the front door. We stop just outside. My two buddies are discussing where we are going next. I'm standing off to the side by myself, waiting on them. Two cops are near the door and one of them approaches me, asks me what I'm doing and tells me to keep it moving. I tell him I'm waiting on my friends. He then says "Are you disrespecting me?" I say "No, you asked me a question and I answered it." He then reaches out to grab me by the front of my shirt. I slapped his hand away and said "Don't fricking touch me." My two buddies then grabbed me under each arm and drag me off. Surprised it didn't end differently.

Do you drive an old caddy on 22s while almost laying on your back to drive while playing some lil boosie way too loud?

Black or white if you do this they will check your ride for contraband.

Was pulled over two different times in bar parking lots by bicycle cops citing "insufficient blinker usage". As in, I used my blinker but it wasn't on long enough. I realize they were just looking for drunks, but they were complete pricks throughout the interaction both times despite me being 100% sober and respectful responses.

Nothing too bad aside from bad attitudes, but most of those situations I can understand why they'd be in a bad mood.

Most cops I've dealt with were very professional.. Just like with every profession life some people are just assholes and some are just having a bad day. I've also had runins with some wanna be narcotics bad asses for several years in my home town harassing the shite out of me and the infamous grand isle police.

I was abused by the police once. I had committed no crime the but PO was telling me to stand in a certain spot. I said no, so he put a Vulcan lock on my arm forcibly moved me. Then he ran my license and threw it in my face when he was done. Then I had trays of flowers that I had purchased for my mother. He searched my trunk and then turned the trays over dumping the dirt in my trunk. When his supervisor showed up I told him what happened and the azzhole policeman looked nervous like he had done this sort of thing before.

The reason he was called is that I was threatened by a man at the store so I called him out to the parking lot. The man didn’t follow through on his threats but called the police. So did me punking some pussy constitute being abused by the police?

Most cops are great, some are assholes, just like any profession. The breakdown usually follows these lines, though:

- Small Town Cop - a-hole
- Medium/Big City Cop - Cool but very on edge and militaristic
- Sheriff's Deputy - Chill
- State Trooper - 50/50 could be chill or could be a raging dick

There are always exceptions to the rules, and you can break it down even further to the various units they're assigned to and the typical personality of those units. For example, SWAT guys are usually pretty tacticool and hardass. Street Crimes are usually very on-edge. Patrol is often more 50/50, but generally cool. Community Policing (yes, they sometimes answer calls and make traffic stops) are nice as can be.

If more people knew their rights, their lives would be easier. The cop says he smells pot and you know there has never been pot in your car, tell him to get a warrant. He can't legally hold you longer than the time it takes to complete the traffic stop/citation. He's not going get a warrant because he knows he's full of shite and just wants to search.

shite like that is what pisses people off, but if they knew what they're allowed by law to say/do, they would be a lot less stressed out.

My situation was one rather large State Police detective who was chill and a raging dick who was about 5'6"

There is a real simple recipe to not getting shot.

Step 1) Make sure the officer can see your hands at all times.

And. . . . that's it.

I've never had a "bad" interaction beyond getting a ticket. I have a license to carry and have my insurance and IDs ready to give the officer when he gets to the window. Hands stay on the wheel any time he's approaching or talking.

Honestly no, i have legit never had a single bad incident.
