Yes. I am a white guy and have had one bad experience.
There was a three way intersection and an officer was blocking one of the ways. From the position of his patrol car I could not tell which way was blocked, there was no accident in sight.
He was leaned into a car talking to a motorist (keep in mind he was leaned in the drivers side window practically to his waist). I walked up to him to ask him which was was closed. As I approached a tuck came from the south and somewhat whipped around the car the officer was leaning into.
I place myself between the officer and the truck because from the angle I had I wasn't sure the driver of the truck could see the officer and given the narrowness of the road I was trying to avoid the officer being clipped by the truck.
When the truck made it by, the officer suddenly became aware of his surroundings. The reason he lost awareness was he was leaning into the aforementioned car, flirting and staring down the blouse of the female driver.
With his new found awareness he realized I was within a couple feet of him. He did not realize I had just put myself there to protect him from the truck. He flipped out about me being to close and started yelling and cussing that I needed to back the )*(&*(& up! I did so with my hands clearly extended from my sides. I backed up about 10 feet and stopped to ask which way was closed, he continued to yell and curse about backing up and finally I asked him how far. His response was far enough I couldn't touch him.
I asked him how long he thought my fricking arms were. There was a guy who witnessed the whole thing that was also fairly connected in that community - Tomball, TX and he was on his cell phone with the chief of police before the cop stopped yelling. Apparently the officer ended up being a school resource officer and got to attend lots of training and classroom exercises.

Yes. Black shift change kept our entire car full of people locked up for 8 hours for a destruction of property charge. It was bs and wasn't our.
But I 100% deserved it for the fact that they didn't realize I was the designated drunk driver and 5 sheets to the wind driving in the cane fields.
Waited until I pissed a few times then called the sheriff

Does getting arrested without resisting count? It seemed pretty negative at the time. I never had a physical or verbal confrontation with an officer otherwise.

Yes...I had an a-hole cop pull me over and try like hell to get me for a DUI. I had some to drink that night, but was nowhere near drunk or even impaired. My wife at one point said that I was fine as was she....at which point he yelled at her that she better get ready to call for a ride home. I kept passing field sobriety tests and he eventually let me go, but told me that I needed to call someone to come pick us up.
I bet no one will be shocked to know that this all took place in Monroe.

Yes. Had a cop request to search my car because I was dropping a friend off at his apartment after midnight after going out with some friends. They threw out some bullshite excuse that there were "break ins" in the area so they needed to make sure I didn't have anything in my car and I was only 18 (and really hadn't interacted with police) so I went ahead and let them search my car. They then threatened to go after me for a "concealed weapon" because my athletic training taping scissors were in the side pocket of my driver's side door. It was the most absurd shite I've ever seen. They harassed the frick out of my buddy for having an expired license that he forgot to renew while in town from college.
That all said, this part of town (J-Town) is known for having douchebag cops who have nothing better to do because the area used to not be high crime at all. And I've had plenty of good interactions with cops in other facets of my life (especially working with kids) that I know most handle it pretty well and aren't complete asshats.

Once. Cop said he could smell weed coming from my car......from 200 ft away He asked if he could have permission to search my car, I said f no. He said "ok, I'll get a warrant". I said "sure, I have nowhere to be - do you want a cigarette while you wait?"
He let me go of course b/c he knew I knew he was FOS.

1. Was at Mardi Gras one year (first year i ever went to Mardi gras i believe). Was beyond packed. Either way, wanted to get a hand grenade. Street was crowded and they had this police convoy (2-3 cars passing through). I made it to the other side of the street by tropical isle and couldn't use the side walk (to many people) so was gona shimmy through on the curb. Cop was standing there and was like "Wait!". So i was like "oookkkay..." and waited. Convoy just finished passing and me seeing this i started moving again to make it to the place. Well i ended up squared up with the cop and he looked at me and literally, word for word said, "Are you squaring up with me boy?!" and gives me a slight nudge. People around are looking like "Tf's going on?". I'm sitting there like lost in all translation cause i've never been in a situation like this. His captain (or some guy who was higher than him) comes over and is like "is there a problem". He says nothing, i mention i'm just trying to go to tropical isle. Higher up cop, older white fellow, is like "Alright, move along". I keep it goin, they walk off. Little white chick behind me is like "OMG, I'm so sorry. Like wtf?" That's when my disdain for NOPD started
2. Driving home (to Houston) I get pulled over. Mind you, i'm 26 at the time in a 2010 Audi A6. She gets out, walks to the car. Roll the window down. Ask for license and registration. Checks out. Comes back and ask "Is this your car?". Mentally thinking i've never heard a cop ask that but maybe she wasnt expecting a black guy to be driving it? Idk. Either way, I tell her yeah. Just got it, etc. She looks at it with her hand on the door where the window goes down at. " It's a nice car. Alright, just slow it down and drive safe." Then she leaves. I was low key dumbfounded
Aside from these two stories, i dont really have issues with cops. I think it just depends on the person and the cop within their own selves and how the interaction goes.

Yes... I'm not saying all cops are dicks, I'm only saying I've yet to meet one that deserves my respect.

Yes. Everytime I drove through Harahan as a younger person circa late 90’s. Jesus Christ they were the absolute worst keystone cops around. One time I picked rocks out of my knees for days after them making me kneel in the rocks for two hrs. Besides harahan I haven’t had too many bad experiences.

Outside Houston, TX:
I was driving on a frontage road along I-10 about to merge onto the interstate.
A tinted out older model Dodge Charger pulls right out in front of me causing me to slam on my brakes and immediately swerve around him. Barely missed hitting the car. Thank God there was no oncoming traffic. I honked and gave a WTF are you doing" jesture as I passed
Lights come on and he pulls me over.
I get out of the car and the deputy proceeds to accuse me of driving unsafely.
"No sir, No sir... YOU pulled out in front of me and almost killed us. You sir should have looked before pulling off the shoulder and into traffic. You had no emergency lights going, I thought you were a stalled vehicle when I was passing."
arguing proceeds while the deputy runs my license. He tells me I have "no right to be on the frontage road and I should have merged onto I-10 already"... I explained how public roadways work...
He hands me back my license without issuing a ticket looking at me hard saying, "get out of here"... I simply responded "Gladly"
The cop was completely in the wrong and I stood my ground but made sure not to do anything that could be seen by him as a way to "get me"
When I returned to the vehicle, my son was crying thinking "Daddy was going to jail"... Frick powertripping people

Yes, I have several times, and I'm white and very much a rules follower. There was one time in particular when a friend of mine and I was pulled over by a policeman that is still disturbing to me today. He gave no reason for pulling us over. It was like he stopped us just to try and bully us. At the time I was actually thinking that the guy was trying to find a reason to shoot me. We just answered his questions respectfully so nothing happened. He never gave me a ticket or anything and I'm still baffled by that incident. I swear that guy was on something. Even with that happening I do believe that 90% of policeman are good and in it for the right reason, but I've definitely run into the 10 percenters several times.

Once. On the 10 east in Kenner I was getting off at my normal Williams exit after work and some a-hole crosses the solid white line at the last second to exit, no turn signal, and cutting me off. I pass him on the exit (he was turning left, me right) and honk and flip him off when I pass. He proceeds to turn his lights on, pull me over, and show me his Orleans Levee District badge. Dude was a prick and of course didn't give me a ticket for being a big meany to him.

Been cussed out on the side of the road plenty before I learned to just say yes sir and no sir.
