My wife, mom, and MIL are always sharing these stories on facebook. I am totally for them being observant when they're with my little girl, but I always tell my wife that if this was really going on wouldn't you think you'd hear it from a more legitimate news source than a soccer mom on facebook? You never hear the police or news report that a child was abducted at the local walmart or grocery store.

My mom does it too. She’s still paranoid since that Adam Walsh kid got abducted in ‘81 and they found him in the ditch with his head cut off.

I tried to find it on FB and couldn't. Looks like it might have been deleted. If it was fake, that's sick and person posting it should be jailed.

My personal favorite: Our FB neighborhood group went hysterical for three days over symbols painted white in the street in front of houses. This was supposed hobo burglary symbols, with all sorts of hobo symbol cheatsheets posted for everyone to study.

Until someone informed them that The Advocate marks the street in front of houses for the driver with arrows and letters to know whether the house gets the paper everyday, just the weekends, or to throw a wall street journal.

If I freaked out every time someone asked me for money at the gas station, I’d never be able to get gas.

Everyone's favorite, huh?

I use the standard 'STOP- THAT'S CLOSE ENOUGH. DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY- SO DON'T ASK' as soon as I hear the usual 'excuse me sir- sir can I ask you something/whatever'....Never EVER let them get close.

Just wondering- how do you folks deal with them?

I’ve seen the same post with a pic of the same guy in New Iberia, Benton Ar, and Atlanta.

You forgot "Store Manager was a hero. I didn't get his name but y'all he deserves an award! He hugged me while I cried and walked me to my car."

There was a legit one in St. Tammany recently. Sheriff’s Office arrested him. He was waiting for women to go into stores and would flatten their tire and wait for them to come back out. Then he tried to play Good Samaritan and offer to change the tire. After doing that he would crowd the woman and demand $50. Did this several times. Dumbass was crusing around in his work truck so he was easy to find. Story was all over FB before an official BOLO was sent out by the Sheriff’s Office.

I have been in a Walmart when it was locked down due to a missing child, it was pretty intense.

As a parent, here's what I don't get.

Little Jayden, Kayden, Brayden, etc. are all a pain in the arse and most likely still shite themselves. They provide no income. What's appealing about stealing a small child? If Paquito in the picture really stole young Preyleigh I imagine he'd realize his mistake quickly and drop her back off where he found her.

So these jackasses can go around littering in everyone’s yard and spray painting graffiti wherever they please?

Pretty sure I saw a report of a guy getting arrested for physically trying to take two kids from two different lady’s at a Walmart in Louisiana. So, yeah.

In the New Iberia Wal-Mart, it’s the abductors who have to be scared of the locals
