There is a battle between Walmart's and local police departments across the nation. Police want Walmart's to hire there own armed guards because of the huge case loads. As a result, a lot of stuff goes unreported by Walmart management. Sickos probably know this.
But if child endangerment is the issue is the issue, state or federal law enforcement should get involved. Walmart's are covered wall-to-wall by cameras. (and other high tech security). Shouldn't be that tough for investigators to get to the bottom of it.
Laughing it off would seem the worst possible thing. You could have M-13 or other horrible gangs working the areas.

People do get snatched.

We're laughing it off because it's literally only one demographic this happens to...bored low income, low-IQ house moms. If this were a legit issue it would be an issue across tons of demographics...but it's not. Also, the problem is only ever reported on facebook

We are talking about walmarts in shady parts of town. Where shady dirty guys can pull this off, and wont get attention other than mama bears doing all they can to announce it out there.
People are laughing off serious issues. Cops arent going to be called by anyone, nor would they come, for someone reporting something suspicious before it actually happens. Proactive vs reactive, against something thats a serious legit issue.
Yes the ones being false truly hurt the real ones, but do we want to discard the one that could have been true?

The percentage of kids taken by random strangers is .01% of all child kidnapping cases. The vast majority of those kidnapped are by family members or family friends and 90% make it back home.
For reference, of the almost 80 million children in America, there were 105 stereotypical kidnapping cases between 2010 and 2011. Of those, only 65 were by strangers.
If stats like that scare you, you must be incapable of leaving your home.
