Maybe learn to farm if you don't trust your food supply. Look up Permaculture and give it a try. I realize you've been taught gmo/roundup is killing everyone in some conspiracy. But the reality is the conspiracy is the food pyramid being opposite and they are trying to stop the food supply is to create food shortages so we can eliminate what they consider an over population. But those are just conspiracies.

If you want to get back to the real...

Start by raising chickens. You can eat eggs AND raise meat birds. Chicken eat anything that doesn't eat them. Then you can move on to raising meat rabbits. You can eat the rabbits and their poop is what you grow all your vegetables in. The idea is to complete the circle in your food supply. But it's damned hard thing to do and expensive. You could then add a couple of goats for milk and meat.

But all that shite is hard hard work. It's much easier to stop by McDonalds for a Big Mac meal and 20 pc chicken nugget meal and then bitch about it online.

I saw on the news a few weeks ago, in a story aboot fat Americans, that a bunch of European countries had banned it.

ETA: Internet searches show they limit its supply, but do not ban it.

They don't limit it out of some health concern, either. They limit it for economic reasons, to protect their sugar industry. The demand for HFCS in the EU is high.

I'm pretty sure the quota was actually removed some years ago, so I'm not even sure if restrictions on HFCS in the EU exist anymore.

are you serious? you dont know what the frick you are talking about. link the actual study, not an article.

there are million studies showing that calories and protein are what matter.

as far as energy goes, once in ketosis and fat adapted, energy is about the same.

believe what you want and eat how you want...but you dont need carbs. i eat a more balanced diet but stop with the dogma

thats as bad as the people who say carbs make you fat.

I don’t actually know what the reason is, thus why I started this thread. I just know I have observed that there are differences and want to know why.

As someone that grew up on a dairy farm, I'm not going to say consuming pasteurized milk is bad for you, but I will say pasteurized milk tastes like water compared to the real thing. Milk straight from the tank is sooooooo good.

It’s a damn shame. Lobbyist perpetuate the issue. Only thing we can do is try our best to eat organic foods. The problem is why can’t all food be organic? I mean why are we paying a premium for food that doesn’t kill us? Sick situation, literally.

Lobbyist don’t perpetuate the issue. The issue falls squarely on the consumer. If people shifted their money to healthier options, the industry would have no choice. This will not happen as the consumer prefers the tastier option.

Parents need to a better job of educating and feeding their children less junk. It’s the same issue that we fall under saying schools should teach kids how to manage finances. Do parents have zero obligations? E

Crop pesticides and preservatives.

Americans buy bigger and less often than European countries.

Dude if you can't understand that eating any one thing too much will cause issues with your health down the road then we don't need to be having this discussion because you would need to be in a mental institution. It's not hard to figure out. Every single "fad" diet has a laundry list of drawbacks. All you have to do is eat a variety of clean foods. Eating only meat is not the answer

I believe it. Am on week 3 of eating nothing bu meat 2-3 days then normal for one day. Repeat. Hamburger patties, chicken, pork chops. Losing fat, but for last few years have had pigment problems all around neck, hyper pigmentation and areas of hypo, also scaly areas on cheeks and nose. Dermatologist froze one spot on cheek as precancerous. But since eating like this, the pigment issue is starting to even out and scaly areas on face seem to be going away. Reading around the web, lotta pigment problems are autoimmune related. Isnt science but is anecdotal.

Would you like me to give you the obesity rates of African and Arab countries directly? Because I guarantee you they will almost universally be lower than in the US.

Meaning the problem is not one that is inherently linked to African or Arab heritage… it’s a unique problem of how we interact with food and exercise inside the US, even if not all demographic groups within the US interact with food and exercise equally. Which I believe is literally the whole point of this thread, to point out just how much more unhealthy our interactions with food are in this country than just about any other.

So I really don’t know why y’all always insist brining up race/ethnicity in this type of thread. It in no way, shape or form addresses the core question being posed.

got any studies to back that up?

because there are studies and real life cases of people eating keto for decades and being fine. Its not my preferred way but you literally have nothing but an article from havard backing you up. zero actual studies

in the end, all that matter is calories and protein when it comes to fat loss and most of the benefits of a diet comes from the fat loss itself. go look at the results of the twinkie diet experiment.

veggies and fruits are absolutely not needed and you can get all the micro nutrients you need from a simple multi

veggies and fruits certainly are not the cause of making people fat like some like to claim either.

ftr im not sayign the way you eat is wrong, its very similar to how i eat. what i am saying is, there is no studies showing you cant eat carnivore long term or even keto long term without big time health conswequences.

im sure you are going to say its common sense...but it isnt.

now do i agree most should eat like you said...yes. do i think most people can stick to an only meat diet consistently...frick no. but there also arent studies showing what you are saying. and a article from havard isnt a study.

elimination diets are great for autoimmune diseases but you are supposed to use them to reduce inflammation and then figure out what actually is causing the issue.

but if its working for you, stick to it as much as you can.

“Feeding millions of people isn’t as easy as you think”

Truth!
In my long life I have only known one couple that grew all their own food.Gardened year round, had meat and beef cattle, pigs and chickens.Milked cow everyday.
Canned and froze lots of food.Slaughtered and processed their own animals.
Grew corn for the animals, grits and cornbread.Cut and baled hay for the cows.
Only thing they bought was white flour, sugar, spices and coffee, apples and oranges.

It was easily a full time job for most of the year except for couple months in the winter.
Then they talked about how much easier life was once they got electricity, didn’t have to work Iike Trojans canning everything.

But really the bread we buy at stores is complete trash.

Even the wheat bread. It’s not supposed to be a sponge

That's why I switched to small market sourdough breads. In BR, my go to bread is either St. Bruno (found in most of the local grocery stores) or Tout va Bien (Farmer's Market).

Okay, if I'm being honest... I only made this switch because it tastes much better than normal grocery store garbage breads.
