When the owners went to court the FBI said the contents smelled like marijuana – ergo the owners had to prove how they came into legal possession of the items.

They probably had some stoned employee at the vault company like, “Yeah man, I smell it too. Must be coming from the contents”.

Or, you can do a simple google, it pops up as the first story in a rag you probably put more stock in.

La Times. More leftist friendly.

Wait wait wait…so sure the FBI is shitty but you are saying you can go down the street to the legal dispensary, buy a doobie, go home, spark it’s up and the FBI can arrest you for it?

The FBI is nothing but the Praetorian Guard.

We need to rid ourselves of that rotting, corrupt institution. It's been the enemy of the free people since its inception.

Hate on the FBI but they are just gaming the system like many PDs are wont to do.

There are many politicians running on these platforms but they don't get elected.

Blame the voters.

Even if it is killed it will simply morph into another form, like a bit of worm slithering away even after the bloated monster is hacked to bits.

Even Washington knew

i think its so funny, but also really sad, that people are saying it has to be blown out of proportion or the facts have to be twisted.....its like they have not read any civil asset forfeiture cases.

also think its funny that people dont understand drugs are still illegal at the fed level and they absolutely can arrest you for weed and other items in states that it is legal. hell they can technically go arrest any and everyone at the dispensary.

frick THE FEDS!!!

When did the Feds ever serve the people?

Government’s actual function from the perspective of the people who work for the government is to preserve and grow its role in society.

I didn’t even think about that. That is wild.

I think they know that their time of being able to blatantly steal under the guise of the law will eventually come to an end, so they are sailing the grey waters, scooping up big prizes that require little work.

If they start haranguing legal dispensaries the pushback would far outweigh whatever paltry sums they’ll get from those. They don’t want to slaughter their golden goose just yet.
