Do you hide assets and/or cash from your wife in case she divorces you?

That way you'll have a nice nest egg that she doesn't know about in case she unexpectedly rug pulls you.
I've heard of wives doing this when they are planning to divorce their husbands.

Yeah, but I’ll be royally pissed if I’m ever forced to sell my Star Wars collection.

The first step of hiding assets from your soon to be ex wife is to have a wife, so you’re all good baw, you got nothing to worry about

I do that for the hounds

Last thing I need is them eating me, then living off my Social Security check after getting rid of the evidence. At least no cats, so they would wait till dead. Cats would start gnawing on me while alive because cats are like that.

Speaking, it is now 1 minute after feeding time and the barking has started.

I have a "good" prenup. It is a lot easier than trying to hide assets, which involves lying and is not good for the long-term prospects for marriage in and of itself.

Too sneaky, hope the fleas of 1,000 camels have infested her bush for that.

On the up side, she is out of your life, good for you.

Happened to a friend of mine.
Had joint account of his money (so she could access in case of emergency).
He came home from work one day and the joint accounts were empty and most of the furniture was gone.
All legal because her name was on the account.
He had to pull money out of his 401k to survive because all of his cash was gone.

Yes, I converted a large chunk of my money into squishies and NeDohs for my kids. Let her try to find all of them when she divorces me

Same happened to me. She had been sluffing money off to the side for two years under the guise of “I’ll take the money from your checks and put it into another account for our bills! That way you can spend whatever is left in our joint account without worrying about bills!”

Five years later and I’m still in rebuild mode.

I kept thinking the whole time “how is this legal? Why isn’t there an adult in the room (divorce court) to call bullshite on this? She cheats on me, we have no kids and I’m walking away with my clothes, dog and truck? Wtf?”

But she “wasn’t happy anymore” so it makes it ok.

Nah, I’m probably worth more dead than alive, and I don’t think she has the heart to kill me…

Hiding assets from your wife is insane for several reasons, some legal, some moral
