Man I had to chuckle at the confidence. Have an upvote, mate.
I can’t say enough great things about him. He was a legendary coach while being a solid man. He’d talk to anyone as if you were his longtime friend.

Loved sitting and talking with him at Churchill’s off Jefferson in the mid 2000’s. Really nice guy.

re: NHL expansion to Texas??

Apparently it’s not Tillman doing it. Pretty sure it’s well known that he balked at the NHL franchise fee.
Texas has thriving club hockey programs via the ACHA.
In the state of texas alone you have colllege club teams that are funded by alumni.
UT, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, U Houston, DBU, North Texas, SMU, East Texas Baptist, Rice and UTSA.

Depends. Is Houston a transplant market?
I’m about as much involved in local hockey here in Houston as one could be. That being said I personally don’t think it’s a good idea because of how much of a transient town Houston is.
I liken it to the MLB expanding in the 90’s and not taking into account the amount of transplants were in cities like Tampa. People moved there already being life long fans of the Yankees or Mets.
There’s a ton of people from Louisiana here but no ones switching to the Texans from the Saints just because they’re local.

I can’t go into too much detail. I’m affiliated with the local college hockey clubs alongside the beer leagues around Houston.
If you believe the NHL is putting a team in Austin over Houston, you probably believed Disney World was going to be built in NOLA?
Whatever.. take it for what it’s worth from a random poster. #RFND

Houston has quietly been gearing up for a NHL team by building their own version of “Stars centers” like in Dallas.
The point being is to get kids playing so they become invested in the local NHL team.

You guys get crapped on, but thanks for keeping the SEC dominance going!

Must be an alter account for a BR realtor.
I get that for some that staying close to family is a big deal. It’s just a bit disingenuous to act like a mansion in Baton Rouge is on par with a mansion of the same price in Paradise Valley, AZ or Naples, FL.
I apologize for voicing my opinion. Apparently my ignorance got the best of me.

Sorry it hurts your feelings that not everyone sees things the way you see them. Didn’t know you knew me personally to know where I’ve been or lived.
I’ll never understand homes like this in such a dysfunctional state. I get it if you’re the local big time orthopedic surgeon, local business owner or, of course, a booming injury lawyer (again, dysfunctional state) that are stuck there for work.
If I have that kind of money to spend I’m going to south beach. If any of you life long time Louisiana residents lived away from the gulf coast you’d understand.

Never understood this. The cringe I felt when I had an Aggie explain it to me…
Nat Gas Operators (Comstock/Apex/Expand [Former CHK])
Posted by SenorJuan on 6/15/26 at 10:51 pm
Background, I do frac chemical additives and sell directly to operators. Was at a meeting with one Delaware/powder river basin customer last week.
He told me to go full court press on the haynesville Nat gas guys because their breakeven costs are sub $1.50 per mcf.
Any other engineers in oil and gas work for these guys to back that up?

I met one at a bar. She/He was a comedian that leaned hard into it. Funny AF. They aren’t all sky screamers.
It’s kinda like letting kids believe in Santa Claus, they’ll inevitably find out it’s a crock of shite. We all want to believe in fairy tales/dreams coming true.
I personally blame parents for not edging off of their moral high horses and being realists. What’s more important? Your ideologies or your son’s (as if any woman ever lost their arse in divorce court) financial future?
The older you get the more you learn women create these delusions/old wives tales. “Happy wife, happy life” “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free”… that last one is my favorite. If the cows only benefit is the milk (sex) why risk losing most everything you build for a piece of arse.
A decent piece will run you $500 and will leave after you’re done… not take your house and go scratched earth on your name with family, friends and work colleagues.
Clearly I have some experience in this area…

I keep hearing about how much these girls claim to make. I don’t see some 20 something year old hottie riding around in a lambo with a house in river oaks. Sugar babies, yes, but that’s only temporary.
Go figure, women lie. The older I get as a single guy in his upper 30’s, the more I realize how so many girls lie about trivial things.
I actually messed around with a girl that was a young 25 year old attorney doing only fans to pay off her law school debt. She was pretty hot and drove a 15 year old car and lived in a studio apartment in montrose. So she wasn’t printing money like they claim they do.
I know, CSB. Just trying to highlight how girls are pathological liars.
Edit: For you Houston hard leg baws, she hangs out at Kenneally’s off Shepherd.

Getting realty tired of the injury history tidbit. You guys act like he’s torn his ACL and broke an arm every year.
re: Olave and Tyson. Over/under 2,000 combined yards?
Posted by SenorJuan on 5/29/26 at 1:14 am to TechDawg2007
Under, only slightly.
Olave will be somewhere around 750-1,000
Tyson will be anywhere from 650-850.
Like someone said earlier in the thread, the ball is going to get spread around A LOT.
