This juvenile cat was strolling down the neighborhood today and came hang out by the doorstep.

A bit on the skinny side, no collar. Makes me think it's a stray.

Hate to see it go hungry but also dont want a pet. Do yall feed stray cats?

Do you want more stray cats to show up? Cuz that’s how you get more stray cats to show up.

Outside cats are fine and keep other pests away

Inside cats are gross

Feed it and you will have a difficult time getting it to stay away(if you get to the point where you indeed want it to stay away),

If they show up, hang around and aren’t assholes, yes I’ll feed them. But most stray cats bypass my yard cause there are seven dogs in it. They aren’t the most welcoming to cats.

EBRP and Livingston have free trap, neuter/spayed, and release programs for feral cats. I would think most Parishes would have one.

We have a couple we feed, they stay outside. One was very feral, it took over a year before we could pet it.

ETA: We live in a gated community and have wondered how they found their way to our neighborhood.

Put some freon out for it, that'll do the trick.

Hell know. I hate damn cats. They come in my driveway and its like they do it on purpose, and they lay down where my dogs can see them through the window and they go nuts. And where they lay they have a perfect way to run off where my dogs can't get them.

I let them out sometimes just because they get so hyped up, they can get it out of their system. I know they are good for keeping mice away and I need that when they start cutting cane, but cats are bitches. They are like the kids who like to start things then when it starts to come back on them they leave.

We put food out for the neighbor's outdoor cat. Occasionally we'll get another that'll show up. And while the other neighbor had issues with mice (we're next to a field), we haven't had any.
