Terrifying. Pull my plug.
Exactly.
EVEN IF you’re still yourself inside, would you want to kept alive?
Perhaps with this breakthrough, researchers can now figure out a way to discern via imaging a patient’s thoughts as to whether they want to continue existing in their locked-in state(hoping to eventually recover), or to be allowed to die in a comfortable manner.

I dump them onto a compost pile in the way-back of my backyard. I mix my burn-pile ashes into it and make some amazing compost soil.
Father in undergrad then graduate in 1980’s - 1990’ and brought us everywhere on campus as kids back when everyone rode bikes/ walked. My siblings and I attended early 2000’s.
LSU USED to have an “IT” factor, a type of organic “magic of the heart” that has since been replaced over the years by cheap plastic corporate bullsh*t, a crisis of culture, and a price tag that is not sustainable.
As another poster put it: LSU better get their sh*t together if they want my children to even think of attending.
Seeing those lights lit up in the evening is one of my great childhood flashbulb memories!

Have you put her on Areds 2? That's one of the first things they should have recommended when they diagnosed her.

AREDS is a supplement you want to start taking in your 30’- 40’s NOT when your eyesight starts precipitously declining.

Sure, but convince me that this guy isn’t just out for a pay day from the school boards insurance.

While I feel bad for the guy, based on how he talks in those posted excerpts, he sounds like a soft little bitch, and even liberal women (let's be real.....these are two married authors...you know damn well they're liberal) biologically want a real man who takes command and acts like a fricking man. She found that elsewhere. Him being an effeminate bitch doesn't give her license to go around being a dirty common whore though.
Problem is, women can sometimes have difficulty understanding the difference between ACTING like a “real man” and BEING a “ real man”.
A good woman knows the difference and you’ll want to put a ring on her.
Edit: and clearly this lady did NOT understand the assignment.
It really does appear to be out of anyone’s control at this poiint; we are all just in for the ride, wherever that may lead…

Ah, I see. You're knighting for a SCIENTIST who refuses to show his work because he doesn't (and you don't) trust SCIENCE. Got it. Think it's clear now. No need for more discussion.
The guy is literally applying for a patent for his technology. He *IS* showing his work. He also has his own website showing one how to replicate what he is doing…
Exoduspropulsion.space is his website
Guy literally works for NASA(though this is his own independent project)
I was ardently opposed to our post-9/11 military interventions, and boy did we ever waste blood, treasure, and the good-will of our fellow man across the world.
However, I actually find myself in agreement with the current military intervention into Iran.
If you run the geopolitical calculus it makes sense on balance. Militarily, China is currently stuck in a sort of neutral footing following Xi Jinping’s political missteps following his paranoid purges of his top military generals. Russia is bogged down in Ukraine.
Success in Iran would help to reassert the United States as the dominant military power of the world, and cement our economic control over the vital trade-routes through the region, while finally eliminating a key vassal state of China that has been a constant thorn in our side for decades.

SSI Disability and Dual Disability needs to be SEVERELY reformed, and anyone defrauding the system needs to burn.

FISA necessitates the use of secret courts.
It is extra-constitutional.
So, no.

Why not? Gun-control advocacy is little more than a religion of ignorance and dishonesty, nothing they agitate for has any evidentiary support. Handing out 30rd AR magazines is pretty much the 2A-advocacy-middle-finger salute that should have been done when the 1994 AWB was signed and everytime gun-control legislation has been proposed since. D.C.'s magazine capacity ban being struck down recently should have been a signal to those pushing this law that it's going to get struck down too in time, but gun-control advocates don't care about reality, only that they are giving the appearance of "doing something" to their drooling voter base.
Got damn - someone call 911 - there’s been a murder…

Do you believe Israel is a good ally?

I agree, and Israel is a good ally geopolitically, but we must get AIPAC/Israel lobbyists out of our political lobby system. A foreign government(ANY) should NOT have such power over our government, full stop.
Then again, we need a reform of our political lobby system overall.

Apply this to women, cars, etc. doesn't work for normal life. You want something you can trust, shelter dogs just ain't it every time. If you have a family, kids especially, get what you want. Those that believe this shelter mantra, have you personally been in the middle of a dog that's lost his shite and a kid? I have, many stitches later I won't do it again. I'm happy to donate, volunteer, and help animals find a suitable home, shelter dogs aren't for me right now.
That’s your fault, not the dogs.
Do better homework.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a purebred or shelter dog.
Edit: and that homework includes not adopting pitbull mixes.

I've always just done my own. My old man made me learn and do my own when I started driving. Now in my 40s I enjoy doing it and kinda look forward to it.
I also look forward to changing my own oil: I know exactly what oil/filter is in my engines
(Mobil 1 high mileage + filter), they purr like kittens, and I have a sense of pride knowing I did it myself and for much cheaper/superior quality.
To each his own.

A few things going on here
- Some of this is a cultural fault of America and it's not good
- Some of this is because America is fractured politically, ideologically, ethnically in a way some states aren't
- Some states are probably just cucked or stupid or both (Canada)
I guarantee that in the 1940’s - 1950’s that perception percentage of morality would be drastically different vs today.
America’s(and the “West’s”) societal cohesion is a shell of its former self, and I posit that to be the result of nefarious intent and design.
I personally believe that we are not too far down the road of decline; and it is not too late for a civilizational renaissance: the choice is ours.

Who f*cking cares ? Why do people pay so much $ for Football tickets?

On rewatching it kinda hits as a downer when the mom is steering the kids toward the cheaper options, I remember that same tone of voice from mother ending up with Rustler jeans instead of Guess or Girbaud. She knew the shoes were shite and basically lying to the kid, you’re not good enough for the nice shoes.
Just because my mother wouldn’t purchase me the “nice” clothes doesn’t mean she didnt think i was good enough…im sorry if that was your reality :(
