Do we really think N. Korea has actual nuclear weapons and the capability?

They are currently sending their second wave of poop balloons to S Korea. Do we really think a country that uses poop balloons is sophisticated enough to have/use nuclear weapons???

They've successfully tested nuclear bombs
They've successfully tested ICBMs that can launch those bombs all the way to the US west coast.
So yes I would say they have the weapons and the capability

I'm betting if N Korea launched 50 missiles towards us not a single one would make it. They have had failure after failure when testing they just report it as a 'success' to save face to their low iq gullible populace.

We know that they can launch ballistic missiles as far as the Sea of Japan, but further than that, who knows. Maybe they can and just haven’t tried because they’re not completely batshit crazy.

NK can at least make nuclear material. If nothing else then the threat of a dirty bomb exists.
While not as immediately devastating as a nuclear warhead, a dirty bomb accomplishes the same long term effects of area denial.
All it takes is a suitcase bomb of radioactive crap and they have spies everywhere important.

It is hard to believe that the information needed to produce a nuke is hard to obtain these days.
That info has been out there for a long time now.

I don’t believe they are a direct threat to mainland US but to South Korea , Japan and our assets there they most certainly pose a real threat.

Not really. There bombs do not work correctly. They use Plutonium Bombs. Plutonium is super easy to make bomb grade, but crazy difficult to explode. Thats why NK bombs suck, they can't execute.
Iran on the other hand wants to make Uranium bombs. Uranium is difficult to concentrate to bomb grade, but a toddler cause explode it.

I'm definitely no expert on it, but I don't think that the information to produce it is the issue.
It the acquisition of materials and the money and difficulty of the production process.
