Jesus, there are few things as contemptible as 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Both insufferably stupid and disrespectful to the Americans who tragically died that day.

If you watch documentaries on what happened, the military pilots were confused and didn't know where to go. They just flew around aimlessly. This is because the terrorists turned off their transponders forcing FAA to use blind radar pings to track them. And it was very difficult trying to track them with thousands of other planes showing up on radar.
there's a video on YT with audio from ATC. nobody knew where 93 was.
Only vague guesses based on where they "think" it was headed.

You underestimate the mass confusion of that day. I lived through it and no one knew what the frick was going on for quite a while. No one was ordering anyone to shoot down anything simply because it was 90% over before there was enough understanding of the situation to order that kind of action.
I saw all kinds of ridiculous (but well intentioned) stuff going on. Like issuing out small arms and putting personnel around sensitive buildings. It was like they expected soldiers to shoot a jetliner out of the sky when it was on terminal approach? One of my buddies was on an unarmed helo training flight and they diverted him in the direction of Flight 93’s vector. I guess they thought he could fly a helo into the plane to bring it down? Despite the recent helo/plane accident in DC, that’s a highly unrealistic solution.

Still wild that they were conducting an air defense drill on the east coast on 9-11 which led to confusion over whether this was a real world incident or a drill.
The drill they were running was conducted with computers, simulated data (“injects”), and personnel in operations centers rather than large numbers of live aircraft in the air. One planned element involved a simulated hijacking of a civilian airliner
NORAD’s Northeast headquarters in Rome, New York which was responsible for the Northeast U.S. was fully staffed for the exercise, with key officers participating.
A truly unbelievable course of events, and absolutely incredible the amount of confusion, coincidences and disputed facts that day which we are still arguing about 25-years later.

Well considering there were 5 hijackers with 2 of those at the controls,
I would hope out of a plane load of folks they could find about 10 people to take out the hijackers considering the other option was to fly into a building.

I think just nowadays it's easy talking points on shitty fox/cnn to make people angry and engage. There are brave people every where in America so don't let them brainwash you. I know it's easy to get comfy with that stuff.

A friend of the family, who was an employee for one of the airlines, was at work that day (Tennessee). The first information they heard was that the plane was shot down. This doesn't mean it was true
There were also rumors of a flight from Cleveland to Chicago being down.

I’ve heard that the hijackers target for that flight was the Capital or White House. Heard the flight that hit the Pentsgon was also supposed to target the Capital or White House. Can’t remember which was which.
I believe the passengers fought them. But, with the government, there’s always some doubt to the truth. We didn’t find out what really happened to the Challenger astronauts for a long time.

Pentagon plan was supposedly intended for the White House, which is too hard to identify from the air so they changed plans.
Flight 93 is assumed to be intended for the Capitol.

The ones on the seatbacks that charged about $5/min did.
Whether the entire hero scenario about unfamiliar passengers coordinating an attack to retake the cockpit and save the plane is up for debate, and likely glorified beyond reality.

I think I remember hearing that when they turned towards where the White House would be they were heading right at where the sun was, still low in the sky in morning, and they couldn't see so they turned and one of the hijackers saw the Pentagon and signaled to just go take it out.

Go the 9/11 museum and listen to calls made by those people to their loved ones. Those people deserve more respect and you should be ashamed of your dumbass post. God Bless the people on that flight that took action. They’re absolute heroes!

This.
It’s difficult for me to articulate how much I hate these people

I would make a distinction between the ones saying there were no planes and the ones who say the 9/11 commission was a coverup or otherwise believe the government lied after the fact.
