nfortunately it doesn't take much wind out of the south or SE to create real flooding probs on the north shore

Oh I know, just thought he was asking about wind damage stuff. Yeah the river has been a bitch this year and all the canals in Slidell, going to be a pain for a lot of people

Yup, we've a camp in Slidell and we just decided this year to leave it all hurricane-proofed until this shite passes.

This looks like it'll be the biggest impact yet. Oof.

Clicked on the thread as soon as you said that

Yeah I sent a couple video updates from Cancun during Gamma near beginning of thread. Thank God I went last week and not this week. They’re about to get obliterated. Feel for them

ETA link to clips from when Gamma made landfall if interested. It was the day we left so only got a vid from front of lobby and room. Wanted to snap one from beach but rain was too heavy vimeo

Specifically, El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. I got married there. Seems like there was little change in elevation from beach to suites, don’t see how the first floor doesn’t get washed out.

So at this point what realistically are the odds that it doesn’t make landfall in Louisiana? O/U 20%?

70% this is a LA storm at this point.

I’d say it’s 85% honed in on LA, but I just pulled that number out of my arse.

I agree. Levi said last night a possibility exists where it could take a more sharp turn to the NE. But even that would have it crossing the lower SE portion of the state.
