Something like that. I'd rather just spend time with my wife, my daughter and my son when he's in town. I can't wait for my son and I to road trip to the Ohio State - frick Michigan game on Friday morning.
The rest of our families not so much.

Come to my in-laws on Thursday. It's in Alabama. You don't have to bring anything.

It's like why I have to do this shite again this year. Always about 99% of the time with the wife's family. Hell, we been married 37 years and I think I will just keep my arse at home. Maybe a bottle JB and some football/naps.
Mom and Dad are gone and all my other family live way away. Just sucks, I guess, but the inlaws are good people.

I'll bring a green bean casserole. It's the least I can do.

Needless to say they just left Nola at 2 and we now have to drive to BR aiport to meet them where they are dropping off the rental car!
I wouldn't say it's needless, rather it's probably the most needed part of your story if you want us to be angry with your in laws.

Whenever you have the opportunity, leave people if they are not respecting your time. Trust me, if you do it two or three times, once they know you don't frick around, they will never be late again.

I wish My SO had a family to spend the holidays with. Both her parents are deceased and her siblings are POS's.

do lines of coke in the bathroom, and also tell them that you took time off/pto. Sometimes people are on holiday are care free and I dont blame them, it was only 2 hrs

are kind of spoiled brats, arent' they? This isn't the first time they've pulled something when they don't get their way.
I don't know why they get this way. It's only on holidays. I mean...I get his mom gets upset that her daughter's inlaws dictate what time they meet and she is expected to work around that. That is why we told her to name a time and me and my family will work around what she wants.
Oh well. I'm over it. If I can't meet up till later on Friday cause of schoolwork and she makes a comment...I will tell her something.

Well the plan was for them to meet us at the Enterprise off Siegan as they were going to ride with us. Of course after already being late they tell us the car has to go to the airport! It's a Freaking cluster,

Finally made it 10 minutes ago. Had to stop and pick up pizza for a late dinner guess who picked up the tab. Surely wasn't my brother in law - at least my wife just laid claim to the nice bedroom. Oh and they apologized for being so late getting. Until tom I'm sure

Next time, you tell them that you are headed out of town as (whatever time) with or without them.
They keep running late because they know they can do that to you and your wife.
Make plans and stick to them. They only will have to screw up once. Either they will understand or not ask for future help.

I don't. Hunt the morning while they wife and kids eat lunch at the in laws. I get out of the woods in time to have a few drinks and eat at my moms for dinner. When that's done I'm off to the woods until Sunday. frick all of the running around to appease other ppl. They're adults, let them figure that shite out.

How difficult would that have been?
It honestly sounds ike you need to man up and stop letting them take advantage of you.
