The ninth-ranked LSU women's basketball team cruised to a historic 131-22 victory over Texas Southern on Thursday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, setting a Division I women's basketball record with a 109-point margin of victory.

The historic win broke LSU's previous program record set just three days earlier when the Tigers defeated Southeastern Louisiana by 94 points in Monday's season opener.

Freshman Anna Minaeva led the Tigers with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting, followed by Mikaylah Williams with 20 points and Jada Williams with 18.

Defensively, LSU held Texas Southern to just 22 points, with MiLaysia Fulwiley recording a team-high five steals and four blocks.

LSU returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 10, against McNeese at 7 p.m. CT inside the Maravich Center. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
