Why. It looks like a mental institution which is what most people should be in these days.

The 2026 St Jude dream home looks like some "gothic" Catholic church...

It’s just a trend like anything else. It will wear itself out and then designers, realtors and builders will be trying something else.

My biggest pet peeve is when a homeowner paints over perfectly good looking brick white and trims out the rest of the house and fixtures with black.

If you have a white painted brick house just know you have no taste and that look is already out of style.

That goes for houses being built as well. You’ll see a big house being built with very good looking and obviously expensive brick, then they paint it all white. Makes no sense.

One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of people with white brick houses or the neighborhoods with big white brick walls on the perimeter don’t realize that they need to pressure was every couple months or it just looks filthy. All those bougie upgrades look terrible pretty quickly.

These houses within 10 years will be absolutely dated

That’s true of a lot of styles. These houses will not be a problem, though, because it is easy to add a little color to flush that antiseptic look. At least this is true for the inside. It will take a little more imagination if they want to make the exterior look less commercial.

How beautiful, people aren’t already thinking this is a house from the Addams family

The lack of privacy is stunning

Interiors like that remind of a hospital which is the last place I ever want to be. This is a dumb fad that will pass.

I’m a married man. If I were out of town I would have a hard time telling you what color my living room is.

The bland outside wasn't enough for these people, so they decided they wanted their lives to be void of all color. The interior decorator should never work again. It's so bad and bland.

This is what happens when you spend millions on a house with a "bored housewife interior designer" who has no other qualifications. It seems there is a major influx of these women (thanks to Joanna Gaines and HGTV) who have no qualifications at all to help with these houses.

We "full dipped" several rooms in rich paint colors and it's awesome. And we have rich colored wood floors and black kitchen island counter. And deep reds and blues in our area rugs/runners. And we have a ton of plants in the house.

I hate sterile homes.

Like this, but without all the white furniture

I don't understand if it's someone else's house and they love the look, why should it bother you or anyone else? I mean, you don't have to live in it.
