Most of the ones you see on here you know the kid was a hero amongst his friends. The poor kid will need to change schools after these.

The question you should be asking is would LSU have the audacity to go that length to get him eligible vs what TT did.

We are currently adding players to our basketball roster who were drafted and have played in NBA preseason games.

We also tried very very hard to get Sorby here. If we got him and this went down we wouldn’t have any other QB capable of starting.

The answer is yes.

original Yankee Stadium and Boston Garden.

I would love to watch a game at these venues. Iconic venues that have character make sports a lot better.

The LSU/Houston game at the Toyota Center was talked about on plenty national websites, but I think they all said the date was TBD.

There will be huge crowds for the 1st couple games, but I don’t want the fanbase to get that lull in enthusiasm for the whole month of December when it’s just a bunch of mid-majors nobody cares about. I’m really hoping for one big name early season home game, but that seems unlikely.

Scheduling games with Houston and Gonzaga means he knows he’s going to have a good team though.

Who knows, maybe we can get brand name team for the ACC/SEC challenge. If the home/away holds true it look like possibilities would be Syracuse, Duke, Pitt, Wake, BC, FSU, GT & ND. Duke at Florida seems like a no brainer for ESPN though.
Destin summer demographics started really changing probably around 10 years ago. It coincided with 30A stickers being on every Yukon Denali in the private school carpool line.

and overlooked is that Shaq was a work in progress back then, he was pretty raw at LSU but improved with each season,

Brown even brought in Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Bill Walton to help Shaq with various big man skills. People love to forget or just don’t care know just how much Shaq improved from the time he stepped foot on campus to when he left.

Brown's teams never won a SEC championship at a time when the SEC was not it's normal power league

LSU would have won 2 out of 3 SEC championships during Shaq’s tenure had it not been for some serious home cooking at Arkansas at the end of 91-92. Refs fouled the hell out of Shaq at the end of that game and it didn’t get called. Carried over to the SEC Tournament when the fight against Tennessee happened.

The SEC was far from a weak league in the 80s and 90s.

The 89-90 team had no seniors and maybe one junior. Shaq was raw and 17 and Stanley Roberts was extremely lazy. There were no veteran leaders on that team in an era were the best teams were loaded with seniors. Put Ricky Blanton on that team and they may win a national championship.

This sucks for people in BR that get lumped into that yellow abomination

There may not be a single white Baton Rouge resident in the yellow area who is not a crackhead.

Not sure how that map doesn’t go against the supreme court’s ruling, but whatever.
The toughest part of it all is finding something between hardcore travel ball where it’s intense practices year round and the rec leagues where half the kids aren’t really interested in baseball but signed up because their friends are playing.

Around 2nd or 3rd grade the options for your kid getting to learn a lot of baseball while still getting to be a kid drop bigtime.

It absolutely sucks that it’s like that now.
In Baton Rouge, basically every time someone who lives north of Florida Blvd. gets in a wreck they will call Gordon, Dudley Debosier, etc. All they have to do is claim that they are hurt and the big insurance companies will throw $30,000 at them to settle.

The person claiming they’re hurt will barely see anything, but everyone in the firm(young and old) does very well because these settlements are constant.

The biggest losers are the insured motorists in Louisiana. The love Gordon gets for throwing a few thousand dollars at LSU athletes makes me sick.
Bad parenting and a cop being a cop.

when a nyc team wins it all, the entire world cares

It’s not that anyone outside NYC cares, it’s just talked about non-stop on every Manhattan based talk/news show so you can’t get away from it.
Player plays 3 years in college then gets $3 million to transfer to another school - perfectly fine

Player plays 3 years in college then signs a G League contract for $40,000, but never plays a game. Then wants to play another year of college basketball - This is terrible for the game! We can’t have this! Somebody do something!

College basketball in 2026

He signed a 2 way contract last year in the NBA. I’d be surprised if he’s eligible given that the guy Bama signed was eventually ineligible

RJ Luis never played in a G League game. Charles Bediako played in some G league games so it was a no brainer that he’d be ineligible. This could get interesting.

In the era of NIL, nobody cares if you play in a high school stadium or the United Arena.

A lot of money is made by having suites and club level seating. LSU football makes tens of millions every year from the premium seating. You wouldn’t get that if all of those people were just in normal seating. Same applies to basketball, just on a smaller scale.

The biggest question I have with all of this is what is all this about not having the funding now. Was Woodward and the rest of his crew lying the whole time? They were consistently telling everyone that they had the funding.
Seems like New Orleans always has a better argument as to why they should host over whatever city got picked. Stadium location, nightlife, hotels, etc. New Orleans really has no argument over Nashville though.

USC is a medium fish in a big pond. I just assume you're a boomer that still envisions the OJ Simpson to USC era.

During the Pete Carrol days USC was the football team in LA. Huge crowds, got whoever they wanted in recruiting, celebrities on the sidelines, etc. if they could get to be a national power again they’d be a huge draw again, even with the Rams and Chargers in town.

A blue blood private school in that area is absolutely a top job.
Elected Republicans cave every damn time. Democrats never do. Huge reason our country is so screwed up and struggling to recover.
All it takes is one random guy to tweet out that LSU offered $7 million for somebody and then a bunch of other random accounts do it. Next thing you know a few local and national media guys post about LSU reportedly paying $7 million for somebody. No real sources. No actual information. But everyone gets their clicks.
Ticket relocations for current season ticket holders usually take place in September so I’m sure new season ticket holders will get to pick their seats then too. How soon you get to pick during that timeframe is all based on priority point ranking.
Leaders of the Democrats set a political agenda and are all-in across the board. They don’t care who else it pisses off. They will push it through at all costs.

If 99% of republican citizens want something done and Republican leaders have a chance to make something happen, without fail they will start with the if we do this, then blah blah blah and nothing happens.

There are far too many republic politicians in this country that will back down from anything if something is the least bit controversial.
