Someone should punch Joanna Gaines for starting this tasteless crap

She deserves some of the blame, but it’s the mindless lemmings that just go along with the latest trend that frick it up. I can appreciate what they do to houses without immediately deciding mine needs the same overhaul.

Neutral colors like this are fine as long as you compliment them with other colors.

When I was a kid back in the 1970’s, my parents bought a newly constructed house. Everyone in the family got to pick our own color for the shag carpet in our rooms. My sister had white, my parents blue, the upstairs common areas gold, downstairs brown, and mine was kind of a rust color. Of course there was wall paper and paneling in the house too.

You'd hate it.

People with no sense of design hijacked the Scandinavian/Danish design aesthetic and made the error trendy.

It’s quite pathetic to pick a random for sale (that you probably can’t afford) and to disparage it online anonymously.

Possibly

Just add some color even if it's the furniture and rugs. They didn't even do that.

I’d give it a year before you hate it too

Its on public sites to be either critiqued or desired. That's what happens when you list your house for sale.

Soffit lights crack me up around the whole house crack me up. I call it the Ascension Parish Special.

Doubtful. Can just mix up the other colors in the house more often, and everything still matches.

I prefer nice subtle landscape lights over bright soffit lights

That’s all they build in my neighborhood now. Giant white and black boxes built to the property lines.

And anonymously disparaging it online shows real courage.

The past 3 or 4 St Jude's Deam Homes in LC have all been that same look. They finally switched back to some color for this year's house.

The black and white look is so overdone at this point.

I like various interior designs, but in hot arse Louisiana cooler colors and surfaces that stay cool are at a premium.

Looks way better than dark hardwoods and mustard.
