For Oak Hills folks, passed by where big tree was down on Hillview and there was a mess of power trucks… probably at least 6 of them. Hopefully that means power soon.
Though with someone else posting that out of town lineman only repair physical and Entergy turns on, who knows.

This is the email I just received from Entergy:
I hope like hell that's just a blanket text and I'm not really looking at another week without power.

Entergy: We expect to restore power in your area by 9/8. Crews are restoring catastrophic damage to high voltage transmission towers, poles and lines. Repairs are complex but progress will accelerate in the coming days. We apologize for the extended outage and thank you for your patience. https://bit.ly/3DJhatZ

It's a blanket text in response to the hell they've received about no estimates.

It’s a blanket text. Entergy thinks we’re all stupid I guess.

Yeah definitely a blanket text…I’ve had power since Tuesday night and received the same text

There is literally an army of trucks filling up the swaggart lot and the mall parking lots. Yet I barely see any around all day. How is this even possible ?

Massive crew from South Bend, rolled into Broadmoor early this morning. I would estimate at close to 40 or 50 bucket trucks and many more specialized rigs and pickups.
They got a whole lot of work done. Very grateful for that.
But every one of them rolled out at 6 PM on the dot. Not a single customer in the 12 block work area had power restored. And because of the size of the fleet, at least half of the men and probably 70% of the equipment “stood by” all day. The cost of this restoration is going to be beyond astronomical with that kind of workday.
